OUR SERVICES As well as breakdown cover we offer the full range of services to our clients.

SERVICING/PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE Our servicing and maintenance checks will help maintain a high level of performance from your fork-lift truck, help prevent breakdowns and will also allow you to keep your trucks in line with HSE and local authority legislation. The 60 point checklist we provide after the completion of any truck service gives our customers a record of work carried out, current truck state and itemise any remedial work that is required in the future. This allows the customer to budget for repairs which have to be carried out whether on site, or at our depot. Our service engineers will always arrive equipped to deal with most issues there and then rather than having to transport the truck to our depot. This ensures that we always take the most cost efficient and non intrusive course of action for our customers.

FULL MAINTENANCE

CONTRACT HIRE Contract hire is widely seen as the most popular way to operate materials handling equipment. The customer pays a fixed monthly rental which includes maintenance, servicing and a variety of other features and benefits. Contact hire also allows you to offset 100% of rentals against taxable profits; take advantage of ‘off balance sheet’ funding; enjoy usage benefits without ownership risks; and use your capital in other areas of the business This facility can be offered on new and used materials handling equipment to give our customers cost-effective and tax-efficient solutions.

THOROUGH EXAMINATION INSPECTIONS To maintain acceptable health and safety standards, thorough examination inspections are now compulsory for all companies with materials handling equipment and Ful-Ton Forklifts can offer support at all levels to help companies comply with these regulations. These inspections will also help you to continue getting the best performance from your materials handling equipment so that your investment works as hard as possible for your business.

A Ful-ton full maintenance package is available to those customers who own their trucks and have the need for tightly controlled budgets. This service is designed to remove much of the responsibility of managing your truck. A full maintenance contract includes all maintenance and repairs which are required due to fair wear and tear at an agreed fee. A bespoke agreement can be arranged to suit your requirements by allowing you to choose from a shopping list of specific terms so that you’ll always get exactly what you need. No more and no less.

TRUCK SALES We offer a full range of new and reconditioned trucks from 1 Ton capacity to 40 Ton capacity. All our trucks are offered with either our own in house warranty or manufacturers warranty. We can also offer insurance backed extended warranties on our products.

NEW TRUCKS Ful-ton Fork-lifts are proud to be associated with Doosan, one of the largest supply chain businesses in the world. Doosan Heavy Industries purchased a controlling share in the Daewoo fork-truck business in 2005 from the South Korean government to form Doosan Daewoo. They then became Doosan Infracore Ltd, a multinational corporation which, as well as building some of the world’s best quality industrial machinery, has a massive portfolio of other products from military tanks to shopping malls. Daewoo was and still is a well known brand name which originally started producing fork lifts in the early 1960’s. They entered into a 10 yr agreement to produce forklifts under the Caterpillar brand in 1983 which gave the company recognition throughout the fork lift industry for producing a tough and durable product. The Doosan Pro 5 series fork lift launched in 2007 has utilised these recognised parts and expanded their product range which covers over 100 different models.

This range now offers the latest in high performance and low cost reliability and is in the top five best selling fork-lift truck ranges in the UK. As well as the option of integral fork sideshift, longer lasting oil cooled disc brakes and auto tilt levelling, the range also comes with a 3yr warranty as standard. In 2008 Doosan have also introduced their GX range of fork lifts based on the chassis design of the Pro 5’s predecessor. The GX is available in Diesel and LPG from 1.5 - 3 Ton capacity and is designed for those customers with lighter use. Through our Doosan partnership Ful-ton also offer a full warehousing range of fork-lifts and specialist equipment such as electric pallet trucks, reach trucks and high/ low level order pickers. Furthermore the Doosan dealer network also allows Ful-ton to offer a nationwide service with 27 dealers strategically placed throughout the UK.

SPECIALIST EQUIPMENT The uniquely designed Aisle-Master fork lift can do the work of both a conventional fork lift and a reach truck, with the flexibility to work in narrow aisles, plus unload trucks in the outside. This unbeatable manouverability is achieved through Aisle-Masters versatile articulated design, providing faster load cycle times, minimising aisle ways and reduced driver fatigue. Available in AC electric or LPG powered versions, the efficiences gained ultimately result in increased profitability. Combilift fork lifts are designed to handle long loads safely using patented, leading edge technology. They are equipped with a unique 4-way steering system that allows the units to travel sideways easily with long loads that are wider than the goods doorways. This system gives the user multi-directional capability whilst delivering excellent space savings. It is available as electric powered and also with a fuel efficent LPG or diesel engine, eliminating the need for an indoor and outdoor fork lift.

TRAINING Accidents resulting from the use of forklift trucks are not uncommon in industry. The most usual cause of them is poor or non-existent operator training.
