PSEG Long Island cares about our community.



The Residential Energy Affordability Partnership (REAP) program is a FREE PSEG Long Island program for income-eligible customers designed to help save energy and lower energy bills..



Participation includes a Home Energy Survey by a REAP technician which includes inspection of: - Electric appliances - Lighting - Heating system - Other electric energy consuming equipment to determine efficiency



Safety testing of combustion appliances such as heating and hot water systems.



Some homes may be eligible for additional energy saving measures.



Evaluation of energy usage and discussion about steps to improve energy efficiency.



Referrals to appropriate local/county/state assistance programs.



The result is intended to make homes more comfortable and increase homeowners’ ability to manage energy costs.

ENERGY STAR Products  Certified Compact Fluorescent Lamp (CFL) & Light Emitting Diode (LED) - Uses 75% less energy and produces 75% less heat and lasts 10-25 times longer than traditional bulbs  Pool Pumps - Use 30-72% less energy than a standard model  Certified Air Purifiers - Use 40% less energy than standard models  Electric Clothes Dryers - Up to 20% more efficient than standard electric dryers  Heat Pump Dryers - Up to 60% more electric savings than conventional clothes dryers Advanced Power Strips - Allow customers to control the power to some devices automatically. Refrigerator Recycling - Secondary refrigerators can add up to $175 to your energy costs each year.
