THE EVOLUTION OF PRECISION. On farms across the country, growers are demanding more than just great seed genetics. They’re demanding the best in precision seed placement, and Seed Hawk Seeding Systems lead the evolution. With features like Sectional Control® Technology and iCon™ Wireless Control, our tank and toolbar systems place seed and fertilizer with unparalleled accuracy. The result is fast, even crop emergence and greater opportunity for higher yield. INDIVIDUAL COMPARTMENT LOAD CELLS

iCon Wireless Control System is easy to use, with more real-time information, like the new Acres to Empty™ feature.

SECTIONAL CONTROL® TECHNOLOGY (SCT®)

THE METER MATTERS. PRECISE, DURABLE, SIMPLE With the new Meter per Section design we’re able to put up to eight modular, electric drive meters on a tank. Electric drives greatly reduce the meters’ reaction time while increasing their accuracy. The new design (one meter per 10-foot section) allows you to isolate the airstream for each product across all toolbar sections, enabling functions like variable-rate seeding with different application rates.

Modular design made of injection-molded, durable anti-static polymer makes for more consistent product flow – important for small seed and fertilizer. Independent electric drive and computer adjustment eliminate under application and control product flow.

HIGHLY PRODUCTIVE MEETS HIGHLY INTUITIVE.

Product feed shut off makes for easy maintenance and changeover.

Innovation doesn’t end with the hardware. We bring it all together with a wireless, iPad-based control system, for simple, complete control of the tank and toolbar. iCON WIRELESS CONTROL SYSTEM Like the machine it controls, the iCon is intuitive and easy to use. We make your work easier by including a simpler interface, more automation on the home screen, and operator advancements – like the Acres to Empty feature – so you know instantly how many acres remain until your next fill.

Quick motor and roller removal simplifies product change.

Flexible rollers prevent jamming by rocks and fertilizer clumps. Three roller configurations are available to match product and application rates.

Anti-static polymer meter construction makes cleanout quicker and easier, eliminating cross-contamination.

The control system was developed as an app, so you can easily download software upgrades through Wi-Fi access. You can also use the iPad for your personal needs.

WIRELESS FREEDOM Carry your iCon with you and you have full seeder control. This makes calibration simpler, eliminating the need to go back and forth to the cab. It helps you troubleshoot for plugs or use the meters to empty tanks. It also means less in-cab wiring and fewer connection points – a more effective work space with less chance of electrical problems.

Fit to Field RATE ADJUSTMENT To change products at the end of a field, use the Fit to Field™ function and the seeder automatically adjusts rates to empty the tank over the remaining acres. No need to empty tanks and transfer product with augers. iCon makes the task easy and efficient.

IN-FIELD CALIBRATION Calibrate on-the-go. This feature takes a snapshot of the weight in the tank, applies it to the number of acres you input, and then quickly calculates how much seed you need.

Each meter section (up to eight) has its own roller and electric drive for easy calibration.

Motor housing is designed to be easily removed for quick roller replacement/changeover.

PRECISION OPENERS. Seed Hawk openers operate independently for superior shallow seeding, depth accuracy and optimum fertilizer placement. The result is quick, uniform germination, even packing and consistent performance, regardless of soil or weather conditions. Each opener assembly operates independently by pivoting at the frame, controlled by its own adjustable hydraulic cylinder. A range of knives is available to suit every seeding style.

PRECISION EVOLVES.

Fast, easy depth adjustment is standard. To set the seed knives’ depth (fertilizer knife depth is automatically adjusted by same amount), simply use a ¾" wrench, adjust to the desired setting on the scale and re-insert the pin.

NO MORE MISSES The wireless blockage monitor checks flow and delivers quick, accurate notification of blockages. • Acoustic sensors detect trouble. • Information is relayed to iCon control. • Blockage control monitor alerts with visual and audio prompts. • Wi-Fi control eliminates failures common in wired sensor/monitor systems.

Steel mud scrapers are optional to aid seeding in wet or high clay conditions.

The opener assembly is constructed of two high tensile 5/8" x 3 ½" steel side beams.

THE FUTURE OF SECTIONAL CONTROL Sectional Control Technology (SCT) grew from the desire to eliminate misses and overlaps common when seeding around obstacles and in odd-shaped fields. SCT works with the tractor’s GPS to control the meters and openers. When the toolbar encounters previously seeded ground, SCT instantly stops the roller rotation and product flow, which reduces input costs. SCT also lifts the openers, so you don’t disturb the precision seed and fertilizer placement already completed. In addition, SCT allows variable rate seeding within a field.

Carbide-tipped knife assemblies are designed for precise placement, durability and easy replacement of individual components.

Wear plates are placed between all opener pivot points to reduce wear, promoting longer life for the opener and making depth adjustments easier.

DESIGNED TO HELP YOU GROW.

MAIN PIVOT POINT QUICK PIN DEPTH SETTING

The opener pivots at this point for active seeding and transport position.

Depth setting is easy. Pull the quick pin and turn the gears with a 3/4" wrench for simple, quick adjustments in 1/8" increments.

CHAIN The chain provides a visual guide for packing pressure. When the chain is tight, packing pressure is adequate. If the chain is loose, more packing pressure is required.

DEPTH ADJUSTMENT POINT The depth adjustment pivots between the seed and fertilizer knife, so the distance between the seed and fertilizer depth is constant at all seed depth settings.

NITRIDE STEEL ROD ACTIVE HYDRAULIC CYLINDER The cylinder puts the opener into seeding and transport positions; it also controls the trip force and packing pressure from the tractor control box.

The cylinder rod is tempered steel that will not pit, bend or rust, ensuring a long life that will not damage cylinder seals.

FERTILIZER TRIP PIVOT POINT The fertilizer knife trips back and pivots around this point when rocks and stones are encountered. This can be set to require up to 350 pounds of force before the knife will trip, ensuring excellent penetration in all conditions.

DROP TUBE

FERTILIZER DEPTH ADJUSTMENT

The drop tube is molded for the addition of liquid or NH3 delivery kits.

The fertilizer knife attaches to a slot on the trip arm to allow for fertilizer depth adjustment in relation to the seed depth.

PACKER GAUGE WHEEL SEED KNIFE FERTILIZER KNIFE The redesigned fertilizer knife now has double the carbide surface area (4"), extending the life of the knife and giving a straighter penetration angle to reduce soil throw.

Seed Hawk’s 1/2" wide seed knife is the narrowest in the industry, carbide tipped for extended life, and back swept to maintain a stable seed shelf.

The semi-pneumatic packer tire virtually eliminates flats even in extreme stubble conditions. It can pack up to 260 pounds of force. The hub contains a greasable, tapered bearing.

TWO PROVEN OPENER SYSTEMS MAKE THE DIFFERENCE. SINGLE SIDEBAND SEED KNIFE

TWIN WING SEED KNIFE

The original Seed Hawk single sideband seed knife opener system is still the benchmark for crop emergence and seedling safety. It cuts separate trenches for seed and fertilizer, placing seed on undisturbed soil and protecting seedlings. This results in quicker germination and ultimately delivers more even emergence.

The design of the Twin Wing ensures that two distinct rows emerge and also provides proper separation of seed and fertilizer. Growers can equip a 12" machine with the Twin Wing to produce 9" spacing between rows. The wider shank distribution reduces the horsepower required to operate the drill and improves residue clearance. Tighter row spacing increases seed bed use and helps make the emerging crop a better competitor for weeds.

1.5" separation Seed Hawk’s original single sideband opener overcomes the limitations of all-in-one sideband openers.

Accurate, shallow seeding and precise fertilizer placement ensures the best germination possible while putting fertilizer in the most accessible place for superior uptake.

Independent research shows the Twin Wing precisely places seed and fertilizer separately to ensure fast, uniform germination.

Paired row seeding allows for wider row spacing, which reduces capital costs and results in lower draft requirements.
