Welcome to the WCDDA’s 94th Annual Meeting Dear Colleagues, I am excited to introduce to you a fantastic lineup of continuing education for our 2016 Annual Meeting. Please mark your calendar for Friday, February 19, 2016 at the state of the art CAMLS facility in beautiful Downtown Tampa. Our program committee has secured innovative CE topics. Dr. Rhonda Savage will be presenting two educational sessions: Verbal Skills Workshop and The Savage Front Desk - An Entire Team Approach. These two seminars will be Dr. Robin Nguyen of great benefit for the entire dental team to learn the nuances of providing excellent customer service and integrating Program Chairperson fool-proof systems for the front desk operation. Dr. Jeff Brucia will enlighten us with a comprehensive review on restorative materials. Please take some time to browse through the course descriptions. Don’t delay in registering as space is limited! At this time I would like to take the opportunity to extend our congratulations and gratitude to Dr. Stephen Perez, our former Program Committee Chairman for his dedication and service that led our continuing eduction programs to success. He will be contributing his expertise and service to the Florida Dental Association (FDA), as part of their Program Committee for the Florida Dental Convention. Meeting Facts

• Location: USF CAMLS; 124 South Franklin Street, Tampa, FL 33602 • Registration: Pre-register before February 5, 2016 to avoid late fees. Register via mail, fax (813) 654-2505 or online at www.wcdental.org. • Late Fee: It is the policy of the West Coast District Dental Association to charge an additional $20.00 fee after the pre-registration date, two weeks prior to the meeting, February 5, 2016. • Badges and Tickets: All pre-registered attendees will receive badges and tickets via mail prior to the meeting date, allowing you to visit the exhibitors and enjoy morning coffee without having to stand in line. Lanyards and meeting programs will be easily accessible onsite. • Exhibit Hall and On-site Registration: Opens at 8:00 a.m. on the 2nd floor. • Handouts: Download your course handouts at www.wcdental.org, click on the ‘Professional’ area, then click on the ‘2016 Annual Meeting’ in the left column, scroll down to ‘Handouts’. Handouts will be available 2 weeks prior to the meeting. • Discounts Available: All public health, government dental personnel, and dental educators receive a 25% discount on seminar fees. Retired Members: All-day registration fee for retired members is $50.00, lunch is not included. Member status must be “Retired” or “Retired Life” with the tripartite to be eligible for discount. • Refund and Cancellation Policy: All requests for refunds or cancellations must be made in writing to the WCDDA prior to the pre-registration deadline. A cancellation/processing fee of 15% will be charged. No refunds will be given if cancellation is received after the pre-registration deadline. No refunds will be given on site. Lunch tickets are non-refundable.

Restorative care demands continuous learning in the areas of material science and restorative technique. The continuous evolution in adhesive materials and techniques combined with the ever-increasing demands for aesthetic restorations has made tooth colored dentistry a quality option for every treatment plan. The numerous choices in restorative materials has confused the clinician as to what is best indicated in a given situation. This lecture course provides an overview of the restorative options you should be considering today as well as a comprehensive discussion of the everchanging world of dentinal adhesives. Dr. Brucia has lectured internationally on this subject and will guide you through the collection of materials and techniques available today for providing both direct and indirect restorations that will meet your patients expectations for quality dental care. Speakers Jeff J. Brucia, DDS Dr. Brucia is a graduate of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry where he is currently an Assistant Professor of Dental Practice. He is practicing esthetic and restorative dentistry full time in San Francisco, California. Dr. Brucia is the Co-Director of the FACE occlusion study club where he chairs the department of Esthetics and Adhesive Material Science. He is the 2011 recipient of the Gordon J. Christensen Recognition Lecturer Award. In 2010, Dr. Brucia was elected as a fellow in the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. He has also been selected by Dentistry Today as one of the top clinicians in dental continuing education today. Rhonda R. Savage, DDS Dr. Savage is an internationally known author and lecturer. She is owner of Uptown Dental, a principle owner of Savage Dental Marketing, and CEO of Miles Global, an international dental training and consulting firm. She lectures and publishes on women’s health issues, leadership, and business management. Her credentials are strong. Dr. Savage is a Past President of the Washington State Dental Society, and an Affiliate Faculty Member of the University of Washington School of Dentistry. She is also a member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, American College of Dentists, and the International College of Dentists. Her history in the dental practice world is multifaceted. A former dental assistant and front office staff member for 14 years, she understands the dynamics of success in a dental team. Her understanding of leadership is deep. A dentist in private practice for over 18 years, she knows the demands of quality patient care, leading a winning team and running a successful business. Dr. Savage brings unique energy to her work. A Lieutenant Commander in the Navy during the years of Desert Shield and Desert Storm, she received the Navy Achievement Medal and an Expert Pistol Medal, earning her the nickname of “The Beast”. She’s a “straight shooter”, aiming at the critical issues that dental practices face today.
