Training Overview and Agenda Overview: Trimble eCognition – fundamentals This application training will introduce attendees to the fundamental, core theoretical and technical concepts of the eCognition software, including project setup, segmentation, classification and other essential processing procedures required for the generation of results.

Conceptual understanding of the Trimble eCognition software suite and potential application fields Gain a theoretical and technical understanding of object-based image analysis within Trimble eCognition and how to apply these concepts
Capability to create an image analysis workflow and understands when and how to use specific tool to achieve the desired results
Who Should Attend? This application training is intended for novice eCognition users or customers looking to refresh their knowledge base in the core functionality and features of the Trimble eCognition software.
Prerequisites Each participant should have a basic understanding of remote sensing and GIS before attending this class. Attendees should bring a laptop that meets the eCognition system requirements: Intel x86_64 hardware platform (64 bit) Microsoft Windows 7 Professional or Windows 8.1 (not MS Windows 8) At least 4 GB RAM Licenses, software and training datasets will be provided on site for the duration of the training. Training Overview and Agenda Overview: Trimble eCognition – analysis strategies This application training will provide attendees with technical exercises demonstrating techniques to improve eCognition workflow strategies, including optimized project management, batch processing practices, customized algorithms and advanced segmentation techniques. Furthermore, attendees will be given an overview of new functionalities and tools available in eCognition 9.
