Introduction ▪ PP fittings for PE pipes union ▪ With an adequate combination of these fittings it is possible to design any pressure piping application of fluids with PE pipes ▪ Unions: - By compression (or mechanical). They are the most frequently used unions. Its components are a plastic accessory (5) with the following elements in each side: one nut to close the system (2), one o-ring (4), one washer or insert (3) and one split ring or clearing (1). This last element, when the pipe is inserted and the nut is tight, makes a pressure on the pipe fixing it. The o-ring provides the perfect sealing of the union. - Mixed unions (combination of compression unions and threaded ones in the same fitting) 2

Introduction: fittings applications ▪ They are the necessary elements to connect, give a direction and to split the pipelines. The most common parts are: COUPLINGS. They are used to connect pipe sections. ADAPTORS. Elements to do the transition between compression unions and threaded unions (female or male). ELBOWS. To change the direction of the pipes in several angles (90º) TEES. Used to derive the fluid to another pipe. REDUCING COUPLINGS. It changes the diameters of the pipes. CAPS. Used to finish piping lines or as a temporary solution for future extensions. CLAMP SADDLES. Used to make water takes from the main web. Its better application is to do takes from installed pipes. PIPE CLIPS. Used to fix the pipes in non-buried installations. 3

Cepex PP Compression Fittings: UCF: Universal Compression Fitting ▪ The UCF represents a new generation of mechanical fittings developed to make simple unions when connection metric PE pipe with any other kind of pipe (metal: copper, lead, galvanized / plastic: PE, PP, PVC). ▪ The UCF design simplifies the installation for most pipes, specially in small spaces. We must simply insert the pipe and tighten the nuts (no special tools needed).
