CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

OFFSHORE Wind R&D 2015 October 13-15, 2015 Bremerhaven, Germany

Welcome

Dear Colleagues, After more than 20 years of operational experience with offshore wind energy utilization the scientific research regarding offshore wind energy issues is entering its next exciting phase. In the center of Northern Europe – in the North Sea – a gigantic power plant will arise in the next years, which will cover a significant part of the power supply of neighboring countries and contribute considerably to the reduction of their CO2 emissions. We are still at the beginning of this progress and much more research and development will be necessary to make this vision reality. Aim of this conference is the scientific exchange on current research and development results in the field of offshore wind energy use. About ten years ago the RAVE research initiative was established in Germany. It was and is the nucleus of German offshore wind energy research. Since 2007 more than 200 scientists and engineers have explored current questions about offshore wind energy. By setting up the test site alpha ventus excellent and unique conditions for this purpose were created. At the fully booked first conference RAVE 2012 especially results of the RAVE research were presented. For this second conference “Offshore Wind R&D 2015” I would like to invite all researchers and developers to present the results of their scientific work and their innovative developments. My employees and I are looking forward to receive numerous abstracts on your research works and to meet you at the RAVE Offshore Wind 2015 in Bremerhaven. See you in Bremerhaven! Yours

Prof. Dr. Andreas Reuter Scientific Director RAVE 2015
