OUR STORY

B U T F I R S T, A B I T A B O U T U S Rockbeare Manor is a charming country house that was built in 1760 for Sir John Duntze, an Exeter woollen merchant and banker. Since it was last purchased, by William Nation in 1855, the house has always been a cherished family home, passing from generation to generation. Following on from a renowned reputation at our sister venues in Somerset, Coombe Lodge and Priston Mill - we are now delighted to bring our many years of experience, exceptional chefs and own style of personal service to Devon, where we promise to deliver equally outstanding and memorable occasions. Rockbeare Manor has now been given a new lease of life. It has been sensitively transformed into a wonderful contemporary venue, whilst still retaining the beauty of its past, creating without doubt a truly outstanding setting for a wedding.

03

HOUSE & PARKLAND

EXCLUSIVELY YOURS Rockbeare Manor is steeped in history. Set in over 100 acres of glorious parkland, this exquisite Grade I listed Regency house has a timeless elegance about it. We would like you to treat it as your own, and are sure that you will feel at home in the stylish but relaxed surroundings. Everything about the house has been thoughtfully arranged, from the Grand Entrance Hall to the balconied Bridal Drawing Room and light-filled Ballroom, all of which have a magnificent outlook onto the grounds. Our Billiard Room has been designed especially with the groomsmen in mind, making it the ideal place to gather before the proceedings commence. Outside, there are far reaching views of the Haldon Hills, Haldon Belvedere and even Cawsand Beacon on Dartmoor, along with a picturesque lake, manicured lawns and formal terraces. e backdrop for your wedding couldn’t be more perfect. Rockbeare Manor is an absolutely beautiful venue, loved and cared for by a professional team – all for your exclusive use.
