MAIN PRODUCTS AND DREDGING AND RECLAMATION We have a long tradition of demanding dredging projects, such as dredging of fairways, harbour basins and dock areas as well as other onshore and offshore projects. Furthermore, a lot of attention today is paid to environmental dredging as well as to postprocessing of contaminated soils.

UNDERWATER DRILLING AND BLASTING We have systematically developed techniques for underwater drilling and blasting of the hard sea bottoms typical of northern marine areas. In addition to our plant and the expertise of our personnel, we have developed an efficient and safe blasting method utilising liquid explosives.

PORT AND HARBOUR CONSTRUCTION We have a substantial history of port and harbour construction in the Nordic area. The equipment and know-how required for building harbours and similar structures, together with proper project planning and execution, are higly developed. Our own engineering has often been the key success factor in all kind of marine construction. Our slipform casting expertise also plays an important role in port and harbour construction.

Slipform casting activities is an important part of our strategy. Our slipform casting equipment enables execution of different types of projects, such as quay wall elements, noise barriers etc. Our slipform casting knowhow also facilitates the construction of many special projects, such as silos, stairways, chimneys, tanks and similar items requiring special expertise. We have developed our slipform technology allowing working in low temperatures.

We have a long tradition of taking the environment into consideration, and operating in harmony with nature is one of our most important objectives. Our environmental construction includes, among other things, dredging and treatment of contaminated sediments. Furthermore, it encompasses remote-controlled handling of dangerous objects on the sea bottom and construction of different types of foundations for offshore wind mill parks.

SPECIAL PROJECTS Our special expertise is also suitable for many other onshore and offshore projects, such as breakwaters, coastal protection, embankments, beacons, heavy duty piling, artificial islands and other marine structures. Our modern plant and equipment are also suitable for demanding offshore lifting work.

PROFESSIONALS PLUS

DREDGERS Our wide range of backhoe and grab dredgers can be equipped with environmental buckets.

BARGES Our self-propelled and towable barges have cargo capacity of 150 m3–660 m3.

DRILLING BARGES AND WORK PONTOONS We carry out marine blasting projects with our own drilling barges using liquid explosives which have been mainly developed in house. Versatile work pontoons function as platforms for lifting cranes and piling equipment.

FLOATING CRANES Our largest floating crane has a 200 tonne lifting capacity. Floating cranes play a key role in e.g. the installation of retaining quay wall elements.

We have over 200 top professionals responsible for the planning and execution of projects. Proper project planning includes monitoring of punctual progress and guarantees that quality and other requirements are fulfilled. We own a highly efficient and versatile dredging and marine construction fleet, which includes around 40 different units of floating equipment, such as backhoe dredgers, grab dredgers, marine piling equipment, drilling platforms, barges, tugboats, work platforms, workboats and floating cranes. The lifting capacity of our largest floating crane is 200 tonnes. Our fleet also includes modern hydraulic piling units for execution of large offshore piling projects.

Flexible transportation and mobile maintenance allow quick transitions from one project to another not only within the Baltic region but also worldwide. We have our own yard and technical department, located in Loviisa, Finland.

PILING EQUIPMENT We use powerful hydraulic piling rigs, which can be installed on work and dredging barges.

SLIPFORM CASTING EQUIPMENT With our slipform casting equipment, we can execute diverse and substantial projects ranging from quay elements to elevator towers, chimneys, silos or water towers.

SHE-Q SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY We pay a lot of attention to health and safety in our operations. The company’s accident figures are distinctly below the average for building industry. Health and safety is an essential part of our operations and we have won several safety awards in our field of operations. We are using the NINA "No Injuries, No Accidents" safety program. Vision of the NINA program is to increase people`s awareness of their own responsibility and to encourage them to take action in unsafe situations.

CERTIFIED ISO QUALITY STANDARDS Bureau Veritas Certification has audited our quality systems since the 90s and has stated that they meet the demands of the ISO standards. Continuous improvement is the key component of our quality system, which is certified in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Furthermore, our health and safety procedures meet OHSAS 18001 requirements. All operations are audited and various different operational systems are integrated into the company’s management system.

RALA CERTIFICATION OF COMPETENCE IN CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS The Finnish Construction Quality Association, RALA, has granted us a RALA Certification of Competence. The certificate applies to waterway, port, harbour and embankment construction, including engineering. The certificate covers slipform casting as well.

MARITIME SAFETY The ISM safety management system is used in cargo vessels of over 500 GRT. The safety management system helps to maintain and improve safe practices on vessels and to prevent environmental damage caused by vessels. The ISPS security code came into force worldwide in 2004. Its purpose is to enhance the security of ports and vessels and to prevent the possibility of terrorist attacks. In Finland, the application of the ISM system and ISPS code is monitored by the Finnish Transport Safety Agency (TraFi).
