Theme of the Project: Youth Policies and European Citizenship

Description and Summary of the Project: "UN.AN.IM (Understand-Analyse-Implement) Youth Policies in European Citizenship" is a youth training course supported by Youth in Action programme of the Turkish National Agency (Action 4.3) . The Project will be implemented in the growing capital of Europe; Ankara,Turkey. The aim of Project is to give an idea to the youth workers and to inspire them about understanding and developing the Youth Policies within the scope of European Citizenship. The project focuses on Understanding, Analysing and Implementing Youth Policies with young people with the concept of European Citizenship.The participants are supposed to gain an interest on working with decision making organisations in their societies. 29 active youth workers, activists,trainers and NGO representatives from Bulgaria,Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania and Spain and Turkey will participate in this project, with the partnership of 7 youth organisations. Aiming at the active participating of participants , non-formal learning methods such as brainstorming, simulations, round desk based workshops, case study, office visit, cultural tours will be used during our project to reach the goals of the Project. The outcome of the training will be a Youth Policies Pronouncement and which will be shared with European Bodies and NGOs. The training also aims at a long term sustainable partnership between participating organisations. Partners’ Role: 

Arrivals and Departures HOW TO ARRIVE IN ANKARA? 1) You can buy your ticket to Ankara Esenboğa airport.When you arrive at Esenboğa Airport (Ankara) you get the public bus (442) to City center (KIZILAY) or you can get on HAVAŞ busses which goes to bus terminal (AŞTİ).

Travels from airport to city center or bus terminal takes around 50 minutes. You should send us an sms when you arrive in Ankara airport. Tell us with whom you are travelling, where you are travelling to( city center or bus terminal) and arrival time. (Cihat : 0090505 5931155 or Ömer 0090 541 921 1611) Havaş costs 10 TL (4 euros) and public bus cost 5 TL(2 euros) You will be met by one of our friends in the bus station or city center

OR 2) You can buy your ticket to Istanbul Ataturk airport. When you arrive in Ataturk airport, you find the metro there. The ticket to metro costs 2 lira (1 euro). You get on the metro and go to ESENLER (OTOGAR) .It takes around 15-20 min from Airport to ESENLER (OTOGAR) by Metro. One way ticket to Ankara from Istanbul costs 40-45 Liras (20 Euros) The busses are very comfortable with small TVs on your seat, which have wi-fi, and games. This bus travel to Ankara lasts nearly 6 hours. NOTE: You should send us an sms when you arrive in Ankara airport. Tell us with whom you are travelling, where you are travelling to( city center or bus terminal) and arrival time (Cihat : 0090505 5931155 or Ömer:0090 541 921 1611) Dont forget to change some Money in the airport. 3) You can come to Ankara by bus or by your own car also. If you come by car, please keep your bills for gas ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUESTED TO ARRIVE ON 6TH SEPTEMBER and LEAVE ON 12TH 2012! Participants can stay longer in Turkey if they wish to ( up to 4 days) but no expenses are covered and the organizer team does not take any responsibility. We would recommend you to travel to Istanbul airport and take the bus to Ankara. That is most of the time cheaper one. But It is up to you to choose with flight to take. When you arrive at AŞTİ (Ankara Bus Terminal) , one of our group member will meet you with a poster on which written our project name. And she or he will accompany you to come to the project location. You can buy your return bus tickets in the city center or in AŞTİ bus station.  ALL PARTICIPANTS SHOULD SEND AIR TICKETS TO US TILL 10TH AGUST THE LATEST!

Accommodation and Food You will be accommodated in rooms of 2/3 participants of same gender. Bed lines and towels are provided by the hotel/lodging.

Food will be provided 3 times a day plus 2 coffee breaks. ATTENTION !!! Please let us know in advance if you have special needs (vegetarian, vegan, allergies, special diets due to medical treatment etc.) Please bring your medical pills if you use them.

Travel Reimbursements Youth in Action Programme covers 70 % of the real travel costs of this 4.3 training course from your home to the project venue and back. The reimbursements will be done on the spot at the rate of 35 % on the 4th day of the training and the other 35% will be done by bank transfer when we get the return boarding passes via post or email. You will be reimbursed wihout delay, when we get the return tickets and boarding passes. Reimbursement will be done in EUR, regardless of the currency indicated on the ticket and receipt/invoice. Any tickets purchased in a local currency other than EUR, will then be converted and calculated according to teh Exchange rate of the month when the ticket/s have been purchased, as stated in the official European Commission web-site at http://ec.europa.eu/budget/inforeuro/. Reimbursements will be done according the documents (invoices, tickets, receipts and boarding passes). Thus we strongly recommend you to not lose them.
