The Young Entrepreneur Award is awarded to Hong Kong’s best and brightest young entrepreneur from an enterprise for their entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen. Checklist * Please check that you fulfil the following award criteria before completing the nomination form The nominee is: • A Hong Kong permanent resident • 40 years (or below) by 30 June 2015 • The Chairman/President/Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of the enterprise • Own the majority controlling interest (51 per cent or above) of the enterprise • Is involved in the enterprise’s daily management (for a minimum of 3 years by 30 June 2015) The SME is: • Only a maximum of one (1) nominee from one enterprise can be nominated for each category. Enterprises can nominate themselves or their peers for the awards • 100 employees or fewer (manufacturing enterprises) OR 50 employees or fewer (non-manufacturing enterprises) • Minimum of HK$15 million in revenue per annum. (The minimum revenue per annum amount is for reference only. In the case the yearly revenue is below, the application will still be considered and evaluated by the working committee and panel of judges for their eligibility to entering and winning the award) • Been incorporated under the laws of Hong Kong, and has a principal place of business in Hong Kong with a minimum of 51 per cent local equity • Been in operation for at least three years (as at 30 June 2015) and have audited financial statements • Not listed (or approved for listing) on any securities, futures, stock or commodities exchange • Not a subsidiary of a public listed company • Holding companies or subsidiaries are eligible (However, if the holding company participates, all its subsidiaries will not be eligible) • Have profit tax return for the years ending 2013 and 2014 (To maintain confidentiality, the profit figures of participating companies will NOT be publicly released)
