STUDY GUIDE YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR PROGRAM

INTRODUCTION People who start and/or lead a business are called entrepreneurs. People who lead a department in a company are called enterprising managers. Both entrepreneurs and enterprising managers need to have the knowledge and skills to define and also realise commercial targets. In this way they acquire an income for themselves and for the people who work in their business. Being an entrepreneur or enterprising manager means taking initiatives and capitalise on market opportunities. This also involves taking risks and leadership.

Becoming an entrepreneur or enterprising manager does not happen spontaneously. You need to have specific knowledge and you have to know how to deal with things in practice. The Young Entrepreneur Program (YEP) teaches you the basis of entrepreneurship and management. Professionals who know from experience how to run and manage a business pass on their knowledge and expertise. Participants are coached when putting into practice the knowledge acquired. They are encouraged to start activities to fill a position that requires leadership within a company (enterprising employees).

STUDY GUIDE This Study Guide provides you with information about the YEP program. You will read about the purpose of the training; what can you achieve? It also explains how the training is structured; a combination of working and studying. Next, this Study Guide shows how knowledge and skills will be transferred. Moreover, it shows the training program and the modules you go through. Finally you can read how you will be coached.
