Committed to Ghanaian content participation

Technip has been operating in Ghana since 2009, when it was awarded the engineering, procurement and construction work for the subsea equipment of the first phase of the Jubilee field development. Technip is committed to supporting Ghana with its industrial development and has been a pioneer in the Oil & Gas Industry in the country. Indeed, in 2010, the first oil was delivered from the Jubilee Field, first offshore world-class field developed in Ghana. Capitalizing on this success, Technip established its first representative office in Accra in 2010 and inaugurated its Ghanaian Engineering Company, GNPC - Engineering Services Limited (GTES, a Joint Venture with GNPC, Ghana National Petroleum Corporation) in November 2012.

GTES in Ghana GTES is an engineering centre of excellence and has 60 Technip trained engineers and support personnel out of which 90% are Ghanaians. The GTES engineers have immense experience from the Jubilee and TEN fields.

The portfolio of projects GTES engineers have worked on include but are not limited to: ■ Tullow Oil - Jubilee Phase 1 - Ghana ■ Tullow Oil - Jubilee Gas Export Line – Ghana ■ GNGC – Gas Processing Plant – Phase 1 – FEED – Ghana ■ GNGC – Shallow Water Gas Line – Ghana ■ Tullow Oil - Jubilee Phase 1A - Ghana ■ Quantum Ghana LNG Terminal FEED - Ghana ■ Tullow Oil - TEN Project - Ghana ■ Hess Pecan Pre-FEED - Ghana ■ Tullow Oil - Jubilee Riser Annulus Testing (9 risers) ■ Tullow Oil - Jubilee Riser Abandonment Operation ■ Total SA - Kaombo – Angola ■ Total SA - Moho – Congo ■ Total SA – Giri Angola ■ Reliance – KGD6 India

GNPC-Technip Engineering Services Ltd University Partnership, Recruitment and Trainings : An integrated approach to Local Capacity Development Created in November 2012, through a partnership with the Ghanaian State Oil Company - Ghana National Petroleum Corporation - GNPC (30%) and the Technip Group, this engineering company is a key milestone for the emerging Oil & Gas Industry in Ghana. This venture came as a response to the desire of Technip and GNPC to increase national participation and to develop the transfer of know-how and technology to Ghana. Our main activity is to provide all types of engineering services, from feasibility studies to construction supervision, for the Oil & Gas sector. We want to become a leading engineering company capable of performing small and middle size subsea engineering projects, in order to meet Ghana’s oil and gas industry demands.

A duplication of this successful partnership with Regional Maritime University (RMU) was done in 2014. As a demonstration of its commitment to the partnership and also to advance the transfer of knowledge in the oil and gas industry, Technip donated 43 refurbished computers to RMU. Presentations and seminars have been held at both KNUST and RMU on topics such as Gas Export Line Relocation, SubContracting and Procurement Procedure, Procedure and Subsea Pipeline Engineering to transfer knowledge to the students. In addition, Technip has participated in career fairs at both RMU and KNUST where students were given the opportunity to understand and know the role of Technip in the oil and gas industry and how to participate in its recruitment program.

Recruitment

Training of Ghanaian nationals

■ The main goal is to prepare the future with a strong

With the aim of building sustainable capacity of our setup in Ghana, tailored training programs have been developed around :

recruitment and training plan for Ghanaian nationals for the next two to three years with a key emphasis on Ghanaianisation of key technical functions.

■ As of today, 80% of our engineering staff followed our integration process prior to recruitment (Final year project, attachment for three months, National Service for one year and Technip’s recruitments).

University Partnership Technip Ghana signed a Memorandum Of Understanding (MoU) in October 2011 for a 3-year period with Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST). KNUST is the first Science and Technology institution of higher learning in Ghana. The goal is to develop Ghanaian capabilities and collaborative researches.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT Projects & Actions

Believing in profitable projects based on sustainable relationships, we seek to enhance our performance and share the benefits of every achievement with our stakeholders: clients, employees, shareholders, partners, suppliers and local communities. That is why, at the early stage of our presence in Ghana, national content and social responsibility have been major objectives. Along their dayto-day activities, our teams lead projects and actions with the Ghanaian community, allowing long-term relationship everywhere we worked in Ghana (Sekondi, Accra...). Fair return for all takes us further.

Environment The World Environment Day is a global initiative sponsored by the United Nations taking place each year on June 5th. Because we believe that it is very important to preserve the environment, from the beginning of its presence in Ghana, Technip has aunched a tree planting initiative. 150 trees were planted in three schools by all the children with the Technip teams. To develop a long-term relationship with the schools, regular actions are conducted such as reward programs (computers donations) for keeping the trees in good conditions. Environment is at the heart of Technip’s values. 6

Education and childcare In addition to a library Facility, In February, 2015 Technip commissioned a three-unit nursery (day-care center) block and a three-unit classroom block at the Nana Nketsia School in Essikado, Sekondi - Takoradi. Technip also refurbished the old classrooms at the Nana Nketsia School and built a two-seater sanitary facility. Technip has donated play items to the Essikado Nursery school to aid in early childhood development.

Technip is helping OrphanAid Africa (OA), a non-profit organization developing programs and projects to help vulnerable children and their families. Examples of programs :

■ Care Reform ■ Family support ■ Education ■ Development Our goal is to ensure that children grow up in safe and permanent family settings with appropriate care and protection. Donations and regular follow-up are part of Technip’s commitment.

Health Technip’s aim is to improve the safety of global operations. As an example, more than 3,000 Insecticide Treated Nets were distributed to the pupils from five schools in the Sekondi/Takoradi metropolis. Technip teams were fully involved in the installation of the mosquito nets. As part of the long-term partnership with OA, for the World AIDS Day, Technip teams organized programs to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS.

CSR From the beginning of its presence in Ghana, Technip has developed many CSR initiatives and university partnerships to support the sustainable development of local communities. In December 2011, the Sekondi-Takoradi Chamber of Commerce and Industry awarded a prize to Technip for the excellence of its CSR initiatives. On December 2015, Technip under the TEN Project, commissioned a Modern Smoke Oven Facility for the Hosanna Fishmongers Association in Ngyiresia, Sekondi Takoradi, Western Region of Ghana. The facility aims to mitigate health risks linked with the use of traditional fish smoke ovens and also, creates a sustainable livelihood for the fishmongers and the students who participated.
