BTG HOLDING s.r.o.

BTG Slovensko s.r.o, as a establishing member of BTG Holding, has been interested in expanding its activities as a trade engineering company not only in Slovakia, but also in other European countries and throughout the world. Following this objective, BTG Slovensko s.r.o. has launched new companies both in Slovakia and the Czech Republic where its capital and investments have been linked to the mother company in Slovakia. BTG Slovensko was behind the foundation of BTG Slovakia a.s. with its seat in Levice. The establishment of the company with its focus of engineering activities and the realization of large units to the scope of the whole Group was the first step to winning and carrying out larger projects in the field of energy. BTG HOLDING has been established to meet the needs of further business activities developed by our Company abroad, and bearing in mind the need to obtain financing for large projects for which we applied as a Group as an EPC contractor. From its very first establishment, BTG HOLDING has used the managerial talents of people working in the given field, the production tradition, links and experience of companies, dealing with the production of individual energy equipment as well as the whole technological units to win contracts for the whole BTG HOLDING Group.

BTG HOLDING, which supports the activities of the whole Group in the region where we see a great potential for asserting ourselves in building new energy sources. In 2012, the name of the mother company BTG Slovensko s.r.o. c hanged to BTG HOLDING s.r.o. thus rounding off the project of linking individual companies and unifying the corporate image under one strong brand.

Combined Cycle Power PLANTS

Heavy duty gas turbine Siemens SGT -800

BTG projects always use modern and efficient condensing steam turbines delivered as a complete s olution in the machine hall with all mechanical, electrical and control accessories.

Turn-key delivery of Simple cycle and Combined cycle power plant layout Combined cycle gas turbine power plants BTG’s Combined Cycle Power Plants are composed of a gas turbine cycle and a steam turbine cycle, to recover the heat power of the fuel, for efficient electrical energy production. BTG Combined Cycle Power Plant s olutions allows peculiar advantages in fuel economization, a large range of flexibility strategies for power production, an optimization of the whole plant efficiency and a limited environmental impact. BTG use all major plant components such Gas turbine generator unit as generators, steam and gas turbines, and other plant components such as HRSGs, condens ers and plant auxiliaries that are purchased from selected suppliers or our own design and production. Delivery and project realization with all type of gas turbines: Aeroderivative gas turbines, Heavy duty gas turbines

Heat Recovery steam generator (HRSG ) – BTG’s own calculation , design and manufacturing The heat recovery steam generator is a heat exchanger that recovers heat from a hot gas stream. It produces steam that c an be used in a process or used to drive a steam turbine. Efficiency of the combined cycle power plant in comparison with Simple cycle power plant increases From approx. 37% up to 47–48% (energy use to electric generation).

Supercritical

Steam parameters

Power Plants BTG HOLDING is progressively adopting supercritical and ultra-supercritical technology to raise the cycle efficiency of its power plants. BTG HOLDING now has a solution for the most effective coal firing Power Plant Blocks Division of the units by steam parameters:

Supercritical 500 MW brown coal firing steam boiler

“Supercritical” is a thermodynamic expression describing the state of a substance where there is no clear distinction between the liquid and gaseous phase (i.e. they are a homogenous fluid). Water reaches this state at a pressure above 22.1 MPa. The efficiency of the thermodynamic process of a coal-fired power describes how much of the energy fed into the cycle is converted into electrical energy. The greater the output of electrical energy for a given amount of energy input, the higher the efficiency. If the energy input to the cycle is kept constant, the output can be increased by selecting elevated pressures and temperatures for the water-steam cycle.

Cross section of supercritical K-600-247 (600 MW) steam turbine parameters (Live steam: p = 24.2 MPa; t = 565°C; Reheated steam: p = 4.1 MPa; t = 595°C)

Increased thermal efficiency observed when the temperature and pressure of the steam is increased. By raising the temperature from 580 °C to 760 ° C and the pressure out of the high pressure feed-water pump from 33 Mpa to 42 MPa, the thermal efficiency improves by about 4 % (Ultra-supercritical steam condition).

Solar & WIND

BTG HOLDING has two production facilities; in Hustopeče near Brno and directly in Brno itself. We have the following areas, machines and equipment:

MAIN PART OF OUR MACHINERY PARK: Dividing and forming material: Solar & Wind energy are environmental and conservation friendly resources, which effectively reduce emissions. No other energy can be as environmentally friendly. These are natural resources, and as such do not pollute the air when being converted into electricity. Solar & Wind energy systems signifi cantly c ontribute to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and provide a clean and green environment for future generations. Does not generate any waste or pollution Each year over 1 billion terawatt hours of solar irradiation arrive on Earth. This corresponds to about 60,000 times of the world’s current electricity demand. Thus, solar power has the biggest potential of all renewable energies.

Benefi ts of Solar power plants: Power from the sun is clean, silent, limitless and free The photovoltaic process releases no CO2, SO2 or NO2 gases, which are normally associated with burning finite fossil fuel reserves, and doesn‘t contribute to global warming The photovoltaic process is now a proven technology which is inherently safe as opposed to other fossil fuel based electricity generating technologies No fuel is required for generation, so the fuel cost of power generation is zero Solar power shall augment the needs of peak power needs Increase the grid reliability i.e., voltage and frequency Solar Powered Grid Connect Plants can act as tail end energizers, which in turn reduces transmission and distribution losses Provides a potential revenue source in a diverse energy portfolio Assists in meeting renewable portfolio standards goals Generation of electricity from Solar Pv is totally free from Green House Gas emission
