1 INTRODUCTION TO VOICE CYPHER ULTRA This guide introduces the Voice Cypher Ultra application, explains the installation procedures, and provides a step-by-step guide on how to use the main features of the application.

1.1 About Voice Cypher Ultra for Android Voice Cypher Ultra is software for Android smart devices. Voice Cypher Ultra for Android enables users to make secure encrypted voice calls, as well as send secure messages and images to other smartphones on which Voice Cypher Ultra software is installed. Voice Cypher Ultra uses trusted and well-proven strong encryption technologies that keep a user's voice calls private wherever that user may be in the world. End-to-end encryption ensures that a user's calls are kept secure at all points between the two devices, even within untrusted or potentially unsecured networks. All devices on which Voice Cypher Ultra is installed create a public and a private key set, upon first use, that are unique to a user's device. The cryptographic fingerprint is a representation of the public key used during encryption and decryption. All Voice Cypher Ultra users are also assigned unique Voice Cypher Ultra Aliases.

1.2 Benefits of Voice Cypher Ultra The major benefits of Voice Cypher Ultra are as follows: Strong encryption of voice calls. The verified contact list reinforces the identity of contacts. Easy to install and straightforward to use. Connects via any IP-enabled network; e.g., 2.5G (GPRS, EDGE, CDMA 1xRTT), 3G (UMTS, HSDPA, CDMA EV-DO), 4G (LTE) and Wi-Fi®. Low-latency calls. Allows users to receive calls, messages and images while the Voice Cypher Ultra application is running in the background. Note: In order to be supported, the device must be running an Android Operating System of 4.0.3. or higher.

1.3 Device User Interface Please be advised that when a user performs actions described in this guide, he/she might see different menu options if that particular user has a different device to that used in the making of this guide. This is because of differences in the user interface between devices and between Operating System versions. The functionality users see on the device depends on the device model and it's settings. This should not interfere with a user's operation of Voice Cypher Ultra.

1.4 Voice Cypher Ultra Version Represented in this Guide The functionality of the Voice Cypher Ultra application described in this guide is based on version 13.3.23.201-VC. Users can find the version of the Voice Cypher Ultra application installed on their device in the Current Build Version Section in the settings as described in the topic "Accessing the Voice Cypher Ultra Settings" in this guide.

2 PREPARING TO INSTALL VOICE CYPHER ULTRA 2.1 Internet Access The Android device requires access to the Internet via a Wi-Fi, or a mobile data connection, to enable users to install the Voice Cypher Ultra application. A user might need to contact his/her network operator to activate mobile data. The Voice Cypher Ultra application is linked to the email address used to register on Voice Cypher Ultra, (the Voice Cypher Ultra ID). The Voice Cypher Ultra ID is not linked to a particular network. If a user changes his /her device configuration, that user should verify that the mobile data Internet settings are working on the device. The Voice Cypher Ultra application requires an Internet connection via Wi-Fi, or mobile data. Should a user experience any difficulty accessing the Internet, that user should contact his/her network operator.

2.2 Managing Internet Connections Voice Cypher Ultra can connect to the Internet using any of the following three wireless methods: Wi-Fi - This provides minimal latency (that is, the time between when a user speaks and when the call recipient hears them). 4G/ LTE, 3G, 3.5G - These give the smallest latency of most cellular Internet connections. 2.5G/ EDGE - This provides acceptable latency. The latency over any wireless connection depends on the strength of the wireless signal received; the local conditions, and on whether a user is making a local or international call. Check: The device shows that a wireless or mobile data connection is activated (as desired) for Wi-Fi, 4G, 3G or 2.5G.
