Application Advice

#

The Safety Instruction and Application Advice of the connected SIEB & MEYER control and the PC must absolutely be considered!

The USB RS232 converter by SIEB & MEYER is designed for the use with controls by SIEB & MEYER and standard PCs which are not equipped with a RS232 interface. Condition: The PC must be equipped with a Windows operating system (Windows 2000 or higher).

Windows 9x is no longer supported!

The converter is delivered with an USB cable (length 1m) as standard. An adequate cable for the RS232 interface must be ordered additionally!

Before you connect the converter to the USB port, install the Windows software with the USB driver! Any driver installation requires administrator rights of the operator! This must be considered when the operator is logging on.
