Founded by a former professional athlete with playing and coaching experience in Scotland, USA, Romania and Japan, the company has been built by “soccer people doing travel, not travel people doing soccer”. The World Cup was last in Brazil 62 years ago, meaning for most of us, the opportunity to experience the World Cup in Brazil is genuinely a once-in-a-lifetime event. Recently, to properly plan our World Cup Academy Tour, I visited Brazil for the third time in my life and was again in love with the country, the people, the weather, the soccer, the food and the way of life. Furthermore I discovered a small Brazilian paradise, which is the perfect place for the World Cup Academy – Buzios - 2 hours from Rio de Janeiro. This trip will be unforgettable for anyone who can make it, whether a young player, parent, friend, fan, family or coach.

Experience at Major Championships… AMsportstours ran the World Cup Academy in Cape Town, South Africa in 2010 and also a tour to the 2012 European Championships in Poland and Ukraine. Buzios – The Brazilian Paradise… Buzios is a Brazilian coastal paradise, which kids, parents and coaches will all love and not want to leave. Famed for being Bridget Bardot’s favorite place in the world, Buzios has beautiful beaches, bargain and boutique shopping, and hundreds of little bars, restaurants, clubs and cafés which stay open into the early hours of the morning. The accommodation is first class, all en-suite, with airconditioning and a pool on site. The ambience of Buzios is appealing, it being very safe, cosmopolitan, family friendly but still very Brazilian with a permanent holiday feel.

The World Cup Academy… Having met with the Minister for Sport, the AMsportstours World Cup Academy will take place at Buzios Esporte Clube, where teams from around the world will train together and enjoy international competition in a program co-ordinated by Joaozinho Fernandes (former Brazilian professional player and Head Coach at Buzios Esporte Clube) and Professional International Coaches. Local Brazilian players will be part of the World Cup Academy and train with and compete against visiting teams. The World Cup Academy will come together in Buzios for boys and girls of all abilities and age-ranges. Adult teams can also join the program. Peace for Parents and fans… Parents and fans have the freedom to come and go as they please with the Academy staff responsible for the players throughout their time at the Academy. Buzios offers so much choice for parents and family members. Enjoy a Caiparihnia on the beach 500 metres away, wander round the Brazilian boutiques, hire a boat, sign up for surf school or visit one of the many bars to watch the latest World Cup games - you will love Buzios. Buzios activities and watersports… Buzios offers sailing, snorkeling, surfing, boat trips, fishing, jet skis, golf, paragliding and much, much more. This can be arranged by AMsportstours for those interested. Buzios Accommodation The chosen accommodation is in beautiful Brazilian Pousada's. All the room are en-suite, with airconditioning, laundered daily and have wifi. Pousada's are independent and family run, giving you a flavour of the real Brazil. We have carefully selected these Pousada's which are family friendly and all have a pool and an ideal location near the beach and World Cup Academy training centre.

Day trips to Rio de Janeiro and the Copacabana… There will be three day trips to Rio during the World Cup Academy and these will include time on the famous Copacabana Beach, the opportunity to take the cable car up Sugar Loaf Mountain, a visit to the statue of Christ the Redeemer and time in the Rio old town of Santa Terresa and Lapa. All activities are optional.
