by Malgorzata Wojcik Malgorzata Wójcik has been Neal and Janet’s translator and friend since 1996. She personally took the initiative to translate UNBOUND and through much prayer and perseverance found a publisher. “Gosia” is one of the vital links God has connected that has allowed thousands to be impacted with the message of Freedom in Christ in Poland and Polish communities throughout the world. Neal and Janet first came to Poland in the summer of 1994 at the invitation of Andrzej Sionek and En Christo. In the years 1994 and 1995 they taught students at the School of Evangelization and Christian Life in Lanckorona (near Krakow). In 1996, a week-long seminar on deliverance was organized by En Christo for several hundred participants from all over Poland. In the years 1996-1997, Neal and Janet came to teach at

Schools of Evangelization and Christian Life and outreaches organized with the help of En Christo in neighboring countries: Podolinec, Slovakia; Krasiliv, Ukraine; and Jurmala, Latvia. Their teaching on deliverance started to spread rapidly in Poland with the publication of Unbound in 2009 and a conference attended by 2000 participants, including priests and religious sisters, in Łódź, Poland. The conference was organized in January 2010 by the publisher, Renewal in the Holy Spirit Centre, led by Fr. Remigiusz Recław, SJ. Neal and Janet came with a team from the Heart of the Father Ministries to train leaders in the practice of using the Five Keys. Soon afterwards, the House of Mercy was opened in

Łódź, with 60 trained leaders praying daily for deliverance using the Unbound model. In 2012, Neal and Janet came to Poland again to teach about deliverance in four cities around Poland: Łódź, Kartuzy, Opole and Tarnów. A total of about 5000 people participated in the conferences, many of them already familiar with Unbound (20,000 copies had been in print by then) and ready to spread the message in their communities and beyond. Participants included guests from Ukraine, Latvia, and Ireland; many invitations followed. Fr. Remigiusz reported that for months following this last visit his teams were having full Unbound sessions, praying with 20 people a week. In addition he wrote: I personally have delegated the 5 Keys ministry to lay people. I do it myself as well, but not more than once a month. As a priest, I prefer to focus on good confession which prepares people for an Unbound session. Being a priest, I cannot do everything. In sacraments, I am irreplaceable, but I can be replaced in Unbound ministry. Besides, assisting in such profound prayer is also a personal experience of God's mercy and love. I have such time with people during the sacrament of reconciliation. Lay people can have such time when they minister using the Unbound model. Father Remi Reclaw SJ Renewal in the Holy Spirit Centre Łódź Poland Today, a national network of established ministries using the Five Keys model is being developed, coordinated by the Renewal in the Holy Spirit Centre in Łódź. More sites are being added constantly, so that people from anywhere in Poland can request and be referred for ministry.

The Ministry of Prayer for Deliverance in the House of Mercy in Lodz From Heart to hearts and through hearts to hearts of the wounded A report from Fr. Remiguisz Reclaw, SJ

The desire to bring others to Christ by serving them with the prayer for deliverance was born in many of us, touched by God with the grace of repentance and healing. The ministry of prayer for deliverance constantly transforms our life anchoring it in Christ Merciful. Experiencing greater freedom from the influence of evil in our lives, we help others seeking the same freedom. People experiencing deliverance are involved in the ministry of mercy and blessing. The foundation of this ministry is the attitude of compassion for the suffering, the development of unlimited trust in Jesus and giving oneself to His Love, so that those over whom we pray for deliverance can experience that Love. We adopted the 5 Keys Prayer Model, which aims at bringing people to accept Mercy and Blessings of God the Father through repentance and giving life into the hands of the Savior, contrition and willingness to forgive, renunciation of evil, and finally, returning to the womb of God the Father. Using the 5 Keys Prayer to Freedom, we witness how God touches the deepest wounds of unforgiveness and releases from the relationship between any particular experience (such as the occultism) and the injury that took place in the life of a person.

Brief historic View The practice of prayer for deliverance was initially developed during the ministry of intercession prayer with discernment, which took place in communities at the Centre of Renewal in the Holy Spirit in Lodz and other places. Among those coming for the prayer there were people asking Jesus for the healing of diseases of the body, emotions, and life problems, but also people needing spiritual healing, struggling with the effects of involvement in occultism, bounded by negative patterns of thinking, battling with the same sin, frustrated and feeling hopeless. They needed prayer for deliverance. In 2009, the publishing house led by our Center for Renewal in the Holy Spirit published a book written by Neal Lozano "Unbound: A Practical Guide to Deliverance from Evil Spirits," which was a discovery for us of this approach of praying we needed. In January 2010, Neal and Janet Lozano with their team visited Poland. Thanks to them we could learn in practice and experience the prayer for deliverance according to the 5 Keys model that Neal and his community in the United States have led since 1980.

Our great joy and hope was the fact that this prayer might be led by laymen, engaged in Church. In November 2010, a workshop for the people from all of Poland concerning the 5 Keys Prayer Model took place in Lodz, and in January 2011, the House of Mercy opened in Lodz, at the Centre for Renewal in the Holy Spirit, in which we can serve with this prayer. The next formation meeting with Neal and Janet was held in February 2012 in Lodz, Karuzy, Opole, Tarnow. Currently, the Houses of Mercy have been created in other Polish cities. From the spark, new hearts light up for this ministry. It started with a meeting organized by father Remigiusz Reclaw SJ, the director of the Center of Renewal in the Holy Spirit in Lodz, between me and Asia Rachoń, currently in charge of the ministry. It turned out that for a long time we all had been carrying in our hearts the desire to combine professional psychological therapy with prayer and God’s care over a man. It was Asia who told me about the 5 Keys Prayer Model which joins the elements of psychology and Lord God’s actions in a particular time and place. And the House of Mercy was created. Initially, I accompanied the prayer as intercessor, and recently I began to lead the prayer. Prayer for deliverance is for me, as psychologist working actively in the therapy, of primary importance because it comprehensively complements my work. It is very 'psychological'. During the prayer God touches the weary man, showing important events in his life, injuries, or persons who need to be forgiven. Initially, a standard interview takes place and then we try to put things in the "hands of God" and accept His leadership in this prayer. During the prayer, I see sometimes that the therapy is needed. On the other hand, during my professional work I see in the case of some of my patients, a clear recommendation for this prayer, which I suggest to them at some stage. Used to doing this during prayer for deliverance, I also pray in tongues, in my thoughts, for the patients during a therapy session. I laugh that that's why I have such good results in my work.

2012 Currently, in the House of Mercy in Lodz, there are three therapists working and, since 1 year, almost 60 people serving with the prayer for deliverance. Those serving with the prayer are mostly lay people from different professional backgrounds, but also consecrated persons, priests, and nuns from Lodz, Warsaw and region. Those are the persons who have gained experience in the ministry of intercessory prayer in the evangelization communities and undergone many years’ religious formation and are mainly linked with the charismatic renewal. Trust that Jesus has called us to this ministry and permanent formation of conscience allows us to connect our ministry with work and family life. The common denominator of our diversity is the participation in constant formation according to the rules of spiritual discernment of St. Ignatius. Each year we participate in the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises, in silence, led by Jesuit priests in the houses of retreat. Every day we remember about the time for adoration, for being regularly with Jesus in silence, to meet Him in the Eucharist.

2013 “The Unbound model continues to grow in popularity,” says Fr. Remiguisz Reclaw, SJ. There are about 60 people on the Unbound ministry team and about 30- 40 people each month who ask for prayer. The team is excited about all the people wanting prayer but find it can be difficult to pray for all the people calling. The teams visits about one city per month teaching an Unbound course, and Fr. Remiguisz has hired a part-time person to help give the teachings on Unbound. Fr. Remiguisz and his team have started a Polish Unbound fan page on Facebook which can be viewed here: https://www.facebook.com/ModlitwaUwolnienia All the information about Unbound in Poland is on this page, including when and where the Unbound courses will take place.

More Than Words

TESTIMONIES OF THOSE USING THE UNBOUND MODEL IN POLAND It had been for many years that I had the desire in me to pray for people in the way I learned [during the Unbound Conference]. Following the Lord on that road, I have realized that I must do my best, and leave the final result up to Jesus, which was quite a discovery for me. This ministry has taught me humility and revealed God’s great love for each and every one of us. It has made me realize that the less of me there is, the more there is of the Lord. Wiesia The desire to pray for deliverance had been in me for many years. I have been using the 5 Keys model for two years now. During that time, my sensitivity has increased to what other people feel and experience. The ministry of deliverance has given me a better understanding of other people. Arek, policeman retiree

Even though I had prayed a lot interceding for others before, my initial reaction to deliverance was full of reserve. But when Neal came to Łódź for the first time, I realized how important that ministry was. I know now the Lord is happy seeing us pray for others, and especially seeing people finally getting set FREE! Ania, mom and grandma The desire to minister praying for deliverance first came to me after my conversion, when I experienced God’s mercy and care myself. This ministry has been changing me. Once an observer, I am now becoming a witness of His intimate encounter with another person. Kasia, scientist The ministry of deliverance has been part of my journey to God. We cooperate with God as he heals others, and he shows me where I need to be healed, and he heals me. The prayer of deliverance is always present in my Christian life, like a leitmotif. Johny, musician, pianist Two years ago, I was asked to write a summary of “Unbound.” As I was reading the book, the Lord showed me a wound I had been carrying inside, sunk as though with a heavy stone of oblivion deep down at the bottom of the ocean. When I released it to God through the sacrament of reconciliation, I felt free and restored. That was when I first felt the desire to minister to others praying for deliverance. Monika, physicist, academic teacher

I have ministered from the very beginning, since the first conference with Neal Lozano in Łódź, when he taught us how to pray for deliverance. I felt called to that kind of ministry, which was later confirmed by a priest. I began to minister in April 2010, first as an intercessor, and soon afterwards as a leader – almost concurrently. I have been prayed for myself once, and then, over the past two years, twice more. Together with some friends from our Renewal Center in Łódź, we have travelled around Poland to do workshops and teach people how to pray for deliverance. This way, more places where people use the Unbound model are made available throughout the country. Kamila, math teacher, evangelizer
