Written Administrative Reports: Chairs Report TASC Chairperson Report for March 8th 2015. Good morning family, Since our last meeting i did receive a response from the previous TASC Chair with regards to the contact information for the CAMH personnels responsible for the meeting room bookings, i wrote an email to both personnels informing them that I’m the new TASC Chairperson. At time of writing this report i have not received a reply. I was also in communication with our Treasurer with regards to the TASC signing officer changes and we decided to wait until the other RCM is voted in today to officially start that process. The previous TASC have made himself available to be at the bank.We are hopeful of having the signing officer changes done in time for April’s meeting. Resignation Letter from Charles To the members of the Toronto Area Service Committee This morning I am submitting my resignation as Alternate Treasurer and an Ad Hoc Committee Chair. As a result of a recent relapse, I no longer meet the clean time requirements for these roles. At this time I would like to express my thanks for the confidence that was placed in me when I was elected and the opportunity to have been of service. Charles S

Regional Committee Members Report Alt. Regional Committee Member Report March 7, 2015 Toronto Area Service Committee Good morning friends, I’d like to start by thanking the body for entrusting me with this position and I look forward to serving the Toronto area in my greatest capacity over the next two years. Last month I added a motion to new business to discuss the budget that was approved at the last regional meeting. More will be revealed later in today’s meeting, but basically it’s just a concern with one line item that doesn’t need to be there and is being budgeted for anyways. Upcoming Regional Meeting: the next regional meeting is Sunday, April 19th. The following positions are vacant: H&I Coordinator (4 year suggested clean time), Outreach Coordinator (4 years), and Alternate Regional Delegate (5 years). Also, the Public Information chair has just resigned and those considering the position are strongly encouraged to attend the next regional meeting, as assistance with this position will be needed urgently. Suggested clean time is 4 years. NAWS has released the second batch of review material for the Traditions Project. The drafts are posted online at www.na.org/traditions. They also re-posted the draft introduction chapter to orient those who did not participate in the first review. The site includes links to online input forms or they can be mailed or emailed in to [email protected]. The schedule provides three months, about twelve weeks to review this material. With five chapters in this batch, this means scheduling a workshop every other week if you do one tradition at a time, or once a month if you do two traditions at a time. The deadline for input on these chapters is 31 May 2015. The projected review period for Traditions Seven through Twelve is 1 June through 31 August. We look forward to your continued enthusiasm—Together we can create the best literature possible.

Treasurer’s Report March 8, 2015 Treasurer’s Report Good morning everyone! First off I am deeply saddened by our Alternate Treasurer’s relapse and resignation of their post. The Alternate Treasurer was of immeasurable value to me and was prepared to step into my role come elections in August. That being said I am committed to mentoring the next Alternate Treasurer and to prepare them for the duties and responsibilities to eventually fill the Treasurer position. Accounting Our opening balance was $2,761.09. After expenses our balance is $6,285.74. We have one un-cashed cheques totaling $19.66 so our actual balance is $6,266.08. Our prudent reserve, which is equal to two month’s fixed expenses is $920.06. This leaves us $5,346.02. We haven’t disbursed cheques to Hospitals & Institutions in a few months and there are upcoming expenses so I am leaving us some latitude when considering contributions to other areas. I’d like to acknowledge the home groups in the Toronto Area who contributed a combined total of $3,922.10 in the last two months alone. Contributions from TASC I will be disbursing $2,000.00 cheques to the Ontario Regional Service Committee of Narcotics Anonymous (ORSCNA) and Narcotics Anonymous Worlds Services (NAWS). Signing Authorities The Chair of TASC and I were set to meet last month when we realized we’d have to add the Regional Committee Members (RCMs) to the TASC account as signing authorities. There is another election for RCM today so we decided to wait and meet at all once. We’ll arrange the date and time directly following this meeting. And finally, if you are requesting reimbursement for approved expenses, please submit your receipts and report to me. Thank you for letting me be accountable for your money, Nellie P, Treasurer, Toronto Area Service Committee

Helpline Report March Helpline Report to TASC March 8, 2014 Good Morning Everyone, I am pleased to report that we had another new volunteer join the helpline this month and all shifts are once again covered! The first thing that I would like to mention is that the transition to the Ontario Regional Number is still on hold. I am still waiting to hear back from the ORSCNA PI Coordinator. (Ontario Region Service Committee of Narcotics Anonymous Public Information Coordinator.) The next thing that I would like to bring up is that when you call the current helpline number 1 888 696 8956 and listen to the recorded meeting lists, you will notice that they are not accurate. We do not want to re-record them all at the moment due to our pending transition to the Ontario Regional Number. We passed a motion at our business meeting to delete the current recorded meeting lists and leave a recording for callers to leave a message for meeting information or to check our website. Lastly, Easter is coming up! Good Friday is on April 3rd, Easter Sunday is April 5th and Easter Monday is April 6th. Once again, I am asking that all meetings that fall on these days contact the helpline to let us know if you will be OPEN or CLOSED. We have still been getting very little feedback from groups over the holidays! It would be very very helplful if we heard from more groups! We need to know which groups are closed so that we do not send anyone to a meeting that is closed. We also need to know which groups are open so that we can confidently send people to the meetings we know are open. We cannot assume that your group is open if we do not hear from you!! You can contact us by calling the helpline at 1 888 696 8956 or 1 888 811 3887. You can also email P a g e | 16

Toronto Area Service Committee Of Narcotics Anonymous Meeting March 8th, 2015 Appendix 3: GSR Reports us at [email protected]. You can also speak to me! I have included in the GSR points a list of the groups that we still have not heard from. If your group is on this list please contact us. Thank you Yours in Loving Service, Cindy F

Hospitals and Institutions Hi everybody, H and I still needs your help. We have openings for Alt-Chair, Secretary and Alt-Secretary and Ossington is looking for a panel leader. Ossington currently meets on Saturdays at 7pm and while it is a men's only detox, all genders are welcome as a panel leader. Please come out and see us on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at the CAMH cafeteria at 7pm to help carry the message to the still suffering addict. YILS, Andrew D

Literature Report TASC Literature Committee Report for March, 2015 Hello family,

There is not much to report. We have prepared a cheque to donate $680.22 to the Toronto Area, which will bring our bank balance to our prudent reserve of $2000.00

The following are the GSR points: 1. Please ensure the Literature Order form you submit at the Toronto Area says either July 2014, or December 2014 on the upper left corner of page 1. We will not accept any other order forms. 2. When picking up your orders, please check that they have been filled correctly. 3. Please make sure your cheques are filled out correctly, and made out to the Toronto Area Literature Committee. 4. The Toronto Area Literature Committee needs an Alt. Toronto Area Service Committee Of Narcotics Anonymous Meeting March 8th, 2015 Appendix 3: GSR Reports Policies and Procedures March 6, 2015 Hi everyone, I am an addict and my name is Joe. Here is a written report finally and I apologize again for such short notice and being unable to attend last month’s meeting. Our committee has covered more than enough for me this past term and they have worked very hard in bringing you the latest and most up to date P & P document for 2015. We have printed off many copies to be handed out at this Area Service meeting. I am sure that it is a bit easier to read and will prove to be a most valuable tool and reference document for any person involved in Area discussion and business. Soon there will be nominations and elections. I will not be returning for a second term in this position, as Chair. My Alt. Chair is now in a position at Area that would create a conflict to policy, so we will need someone new to step up and get involved with the ongoing work of this subcommittee. The beautiful thing about this is that the person will be coming into the committee where all the work is caught up and also the committee is well attended by members that are active and aware of all of this subcommittee’s business at hand on a regular month to month cycle. We even have an up to date “Policy Log” (I think...). Please come out to our next Meeting, Thursday March 12, following TASC in room 2015, C.A.M.H. building 33 Russell St., 7:00p.m. Once again, I just really want to thank all the committee members that have been involved on this committee since I have taken on the role as the Chair and that for the most part, have stayed involved throughout my whole term. They have worked hard and tirelessly for many a LONG nights and for the many months of sacrifice from doing other things and instead taking yet another Thursday to attend an extended and needed meeting to finish off a mini project or the like. They have been great and I am grateful to represent their work for your benefit and the benefit of any NA member using this document to create better recovery in the Toronto Area. Yours in Service, Joe B.

TACNA 9 Report Good Morning all, Last month we selected our pre-convention logo (exciting!!!!), and this month our Vice chair is collecting t-shirt quotes for fundraising using our pre-convention logo. Last month we also elected in a new registration chair, Sarah C. Stay tuned for meeting details. We have a speaker jam coming up which will be hosted by the activities committee right here CAMh. May 23rd in this room, 2029 from 12pm to 6pm. We'll have flyers available electronically to go out with the minutes. I have reached out to the ORCNA XXVIII chair to officially request space and permission to participate in selling pre registrations and T-shirts at ORCNA XXVIII in Ottawa. I have also reached out to the Chair of the Manhattan Area Convention taking place July 2 - 5th requesting permission to sell T-shirts and Pre-registrations at their alternate store on the Sunday. We have a contingent of members who are attending that convention so we hope to spread our message better south of the boarder. (Exciting!!!) Speaking of spreading our message south of the boarder, just today i received 5 speaker submissions from GA, VA, NC, two from CA. This is a result of our excellent pre-emptive efforts on behalf of our Convention Information Committee. Pre-registration cost is $20 and flyers will be available for our next TASC in April so stay tuned. Our regular meeting is the third Saturday of the month right here at Camh in the Elly Lilly Room (next door) at 2pm. Our next meeting is scheduled for March 21st 2015 Financial report: We had no expenditures and our bank balance is currently $3,410.40.
