Seller Insight Nestled in the heart of Shakespeare country, on the outskirts of the historic town of Alcester, is this spectacular family home, parts of which date back five hundred years. Purchased by Paul and Pat thirty eight years ago it has been painstakingly and lovingly refurbished and restored by them. “We were attracted to this area because of its excellent education facilities and were looking for a sizeable family home with character. We also were prepared to undertake a renovation programme. Three Gables ticked all our boxes, but its renovation turned out to be much larger than we first anticipated. Once, farm workers cottages, which had been converted into one large house, it was in a very sad condition. We more or less gutted the house completely, added an extension and renovated it totally. In addition, we paid great respect to its history and character and it really is a luxurious and comfortable 21st century house within its Elizabethan shell. It has been the perfect family home for everyone and it is also a wonderful place to entertain friends and family.” “Our main reception room features a beautiful inglenook fireplace. It is bright and sunny with its windows looking out onto all aspects of our garden. “Our family have now flown the nest and the house is much too large for us. We do feel that we gave life back to the house, whilst retaining its unique features. We will miss everything about living here in this quiet hamlet, but it is now time for another family to live and love the house as much as we have.”
