They will review and jump ahead in Math, Writing, and Reading. Using hands-on activities and fun learning tools, they will sharpen their math skills, enhance their reading for comprehension, and learn new techniques of writing.

CAMP FUNSHINE “Where the fun shines all day” Ages 3 through 6 Camp Funshine provides a safe, nurturing environment for preschoolers. The program encourages the growth of social skills, logical thinking, and creativity by engaging them in crafts, indoor and outdoor play, swimming, music, reading and interactive play with technology tools. The weekly themes are an extensive study of those topics with many varied activities throughout the day resulting in an exceptional learning experience they will not forget!

DATES, TIMES, and FEES Any week from June 20th through August 12th (camp will be closed on July 4th) Choice of 8:30 AM-3:00 PM - Monday through Friday (full time) $425.00 per week* (week 3 =$340) 8:30 AM-3:00 PM - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (three full days) $300.00 per week 8:30 AM-3:00 PM - additional Friday for part time $ 95.00 Included in the fees are: Hot lunch afternoon snack, and all trip admission and transportation fees Before care (7:30 AM-8:30 AM)$10.00 per day After care (3:00 PM-6:00 PM) $ 5.00 per half hour

REQUIREMENTS: Due to New Jersey health regulations, all children attending Camp Funshine must be fully toilet trained. MEDICAL FORMS are required for all campers. See page 12 for detailed information. TRIPS AND SPECIAL ACTIVITIES: Each week campers will either go on a trip or enjoy a special activity. The counselor to child ratio is less than 1:5 for all trips. Trips and special events occur on Fridays unless otherwise noted. Three day (T, W, Th) campers may add on the Friday for an additional fee. Trips and events may change due to weather or other circumstances. CAMP FUNSHINE “Where the fun shines all day” Ages 3 through 6

“SUMMER TIME L.I.F.E.” Theme based activities drawn from L.I.F.E. (Learn, Imagine, Feel, Experience) WEEK 1: June 20 - June 24 “Meeting ROY G BIV” The Campers world will fill with the colors of the rainbow as we investigate how colors are seen, made, and used in our everyday lives. A trip to the Crayola Factory will complete the week on a bright hue. WEEK 2: June 27 - July 1 “Hooray for the Red, White, and Blue” The Campers learn why it’s “America, the Beautiful.” They will explore citizenship, public service agencies, as well as participate in American traditions. WEEK 3: July 5 - July 8 (4 day week) “Fins, Feathers, Fur, and Me” The Campers will identify and learn about the value of wild and domestic animals. We will develop caring skills that can be applied to humans also. WEEK 4: July 11 - July 15 “I Like to Move It, Move It” Campers will learn how to keep their bodies happy and working well. The games and activities on moving will be fun and sometimes silly! We will also create a few items to enjoy a child “spa” at home. WEEK 5: July 18 - July 22 “And Away We Go!” Campers will become expert “travelers” this week. They will examine different modes of transportation. They’ll learn how to prepare and pack and to be safe. A visit to a local airport caps the week. WEEK 6: July 25- July 29 “Who has the Munchies?” The campers love to snack. We will identify and investigate food choices and do some simple food preparations. Fruits and vegetables will be featured throughout the week. WEEK 7: August 1 - August 5: “A Way With Words” Campers will discover the beauty of words, both oral and written. They’ll examine words in art, sound, and books while creating some of their own. We’ll visit a special children’s library too. WEEK 8: August 8 – August 12: “It’s a Mad, Mad, Monster Lab” The campers will fire up their imaginations as we ask “what is a monster?” This will lead us to some “mad scientist” experiments and other creations. We’ll end our summer camp session with a Monster Bash.

ADVENTURE CAMP Children entering grades 1 through 8 Come join the fun at Adventure Day Camp, a unique camp where the children will experience special adventures through many fun activities. During the mornings the campers will be exploring the weekly themes with activities in art, music, games, technology, swimming, food tastings, and other theme related fun. Each day the campers will participate in a daily “color war” challenge before they are served a nutritious hot lunch and have time to relax with friends. In the afternoons the campers will have a choice of two one-hour activities per week. Afternoon activities may include chess, basketball, dance, drama, science, swimming, robotics, arts and crafts, recreational games, etc. Different activities will be available each week. They will enjoy these activities Monday through Thursday. On Fridays they will enjoy a special event or excursion.

2016 ADVENTURE CAMP THEMES WEEK 1: June 20 – June 24: SUPER SLEUTH This week our campers will use forensic science and deductive reasoning to decipher clues and solve mysteries. Using many forms of research, such as fingerprinting, hair analysis, interviews and keen observation, we will solve the crime of the missing cookies.

WEEK 2: June 27 – July 1: PHILADELPHIA FREEDOM This week our campers will be discussing the Independence of our country and exploring fascinating facts about Philadelphia. We will end the week visiting the Philadelphia Zoo and trying our stamina at climbing the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

WEEK 3: July 5 – July 8: COZY CRITTERS This week our campers will investigate the many types of pets. We will learn how to care for them and see the funny talents the pets possess. We will find out how animals can be our best friends and a service to humans. We will end the week with a trip to see the new movie, The Secret Life of Pets.

WEEK 4: July 11 - July 15: DINOSAURS If you could own a dinosaur, which one would you want? This week we will investigate the many types of dinosaurs and create our own ideas of how they became extinct. We will visit the amazing dinosaur exhibit in NYC.

WEEK 5: July 18 – July 22: VISITING THE GALAPAGOS Our campers will take a “trip” to the Galapagos Islands and discover some amazing wildlife which are found only on these islands. We will learn about the islands’ interesting history and find out why they are important islands to preserve. We will pretend we are swimming in the beautiful waters of the Galapagos while we play at Spashplex Water Park.

WEEK 6: July 25 - July 29: THE SPIRIT OF NATIVE AMERICANS This week our campers immerse themselves in the Native American experience. They will sample their arts, cuisine, and lifestyles. We will learn about their contributions to our society and how they are living today. The week will culminate with a trip to an American Indian museum.

WEEK 7: August 1 – August 5: ABRACADABRA Now you see itnow you don’t! The campers will learn what makes simple things seem magical. They will learn how to do some tricks and how to create illusions. We will create our own magic show, and on Friday they will learn from a professional as they are entertained by a magician.

WEEK 8: August 8 – August 12: OFF TO THE OLYMPICS Join us while we celebrate the start of the 2016 Summer Olympics! We learn about the history of the Olympics and will test our skills at the different sports and find out what it takes to become an Olympic athlete. We will have an Olympic competition and end the summer with our end of the summer celebration.

SPORTS CAMPS BASKETBALL (ages 10 – 17) June 27 – July 1 9 AM – 12 PM $300.00 This basketball camp, run by our talented Coach Howell, will have you improving your skills and learning new plays as we drive your competitive spirit to the basket. The campers will get individual attention and skills development. Fun games and new friends will make this a week not to be missed. SOFTBALL (ages 12 – 18) July 11 – July 15 9 AM – 1 PM $350.00 Our WH softball camp will be run by our experienced Coach Genovese. This week will teach you techniques to improve your hitting, fielding and catching. You will get personal attention and practice your skills in game situations. BRAIN BOOSTERS JUNIOR ACADEMICS Entering grades 1 through 5

Our Brain Boosters Junior Academics Class is a four week program which will focus on improvement of skills in math, reading, and writing for elementary level students. Using hands-on activities and technology such as SMARTBOARDS and iPads, they will strengthen their math concepts, enhance their reading comprehension, and sharpen their writing skills. They will become active and curious learners while finding out that learning can be fun. All classes are taught by experienced teachers. These classes are designed to review previously learned skills and prepare students for the upcoming school year. The classes are 3 hours a day - Monday through Thursday. For additional fees, the Brain Booster students can add on a swim session, lunch and/or join with the day camp for two elective activities. Fridays are “trip” or “event” days for the camp. Students may also add on this full day of camp also.

All classes are taught by our talented and experienced faculty in our fully air conditioned classrooms. Afternoon electives are also available for those who want to add on an afternoon of enrichment. A non-refundable $75 registration fee is required at time of registration (waived before April 25, 2016.) in Session B include (1) exponential and logs properties of logs, solving exponential and log equations and log word problems, (2) trigonometry (sine, cosine and tangent of an angle, trig word problems, angle of elevation and depression, inverse trig, solving special right triangles, radians, unit circle, reference angles, radian applications) and (3) functions (vertical line test, evaluating functions, operations on functions, composition, pricewise functions, graphing). The course will emphasize mastery of the material covered.

MATH 6 (A) - Sections Blue & Red This course will help prepare students for sixth grade math. Topics covered in Session A include (1) graphing and the best way to represent data sets, (2) place value and problem solving with large numbers and exponents and (3) introductory concepts in Algebra, including variables and variable expressions and evaluating and solving equations. Other topics may be covered as time permits.

GEOMETRY (A) - Sections Blue & Red (gr 9+) (Enrichment / non – credit) This course explores selected topics that are fundamental in a traditional Geometry course. Topics covered in Session A include (1) basics of Geometry: points, lines, planes, distance and midpoint, angles and measurement, segment and angle bisectors, angle pair relationships, (2) parallel and perpendiculars (transversals and angle relationships, writing parallel and perpendicular lines), (3) triangles (classification, finding angles in triangles, congruency), (4) quadrilaterals (defining polygons, solving quadrilateral angles, classification, trapezoids and kites, area of triangles and quadrilaterals) and (5) transformations (reflections, rotations, translations, and compositions).

MATH 6 (B) – Sections Green & Yellow This course will help prepare students for sixth grade math. Topics covered in Session B include (1) integers and the coordinate plane, (2) operations with fractions and mixed numbers, (3) operations with decimals and (4) introductory concepts in Geometry. PRE-ALGEBRA (A) – Sections Blue & Red (gr. 7 - 8) This course will reinforce key math concepts and operations and explore important new concepts in Algebra. Topics covered in Session A include (1) comparing, ordering and operations with integers, (2) order of operations, (3) the distributive property and the coordinate system, (4) exponents and scientific notation and (5) creating algebraic equations and solving single and two-step equations. Other topics may be covered as time permits

ALGEBRA 1 (A) – Sections Blue & Red (gr. 8 - 9) This course will introduce and explore the fundamental elements of the Algebra I curriculum, striving for mastery of the material. Topics covered in Session A include (1) algebraic expressions and functions, (2) integers, rational and real numbers, (3) solving one, two and multi-step equations and equations with variables on both sides, (4) formulas and functions, ratios, proportions and percent, (5) plotting points in a coordinate plane and graphing linear equations and (6) slope, rate of change, graphing using the slope-intercept form, direct variation and writing linear equations in slope-intercept form, point-slope form and standard form. Other topics may be covered as time permits.

PRE-CALCULUS (B) – Section Green (Enrichment / non – credit) This course expands the concepts of Algebra II and includes further study of functions and their graphs. Topics covered in Session B include (1) limits, graphs of rational functions, power series, estimating the area under curves, (2) intro to calculus (derivatives, applications of derivatives in physics, manufacturing, extreme value problems), (3) statistics (mean, variance, standard variation, confidence intervals), and (4) curve fitting and modeling (linear regression, power models, exponential models, logarithmic and sinusoidal models).

Topics covered in Session A include (1) measurement of angles, (2) conversion between degrees and radians, (3) arc length and segment area, (4) trigonometric functions and their relationships, (5) solving for sides and angles of right triangles, and (6) solving for sides and angles of triangles in general, law of sine, law of cosines.

ALGEBRA 2 (A) – Sections Blue & Red (gr. 9+) (Enrichment / non – credit) This course, intended for students who have completed a full course in Algebra I, will introduce students to concepts in Algebra II. Topics covered in Session A include (1) quadratics and various ways to solve them (square root method, factoring, completing the square, the quadratic formula), the vertex form and graphing, (2) polynomials (operations, describing end behavior of graphs, finding zeros, graphing), (3) rationales (operations, graphing by finding intercepts and asymptotes and solving rational equations), and (4) square roots (solving square root equations, graphing square roots). The course will emphasize mastery of the material covered.

TRIGONOMETRY (B) – Section Yellow (Enrichment / non – credit) This course will explore the six trigonometric functions in depth. Topics covered in Session B include (1) equations for sums and differences of angles, double angles and half angles, (2) solving trigonometric equations, (3) polar coordinates, converting between polar and rectangular, (4) polar graphs and functions: spirals, roses, cardioids, lemniscuses, lituus’, (5) complex numbers: argand diagrams, Demoivre’s theorem, powers and roots of complex numbers, and (6) vectors: addition, subtraction, dot product, cross product, applications in physics.

THE ART OF READING 6 – Sections Blue & Green Two goals of the class will be to increase students’ enjoyment of reading and to prepare them for more difficult Middle School assignments. Students will read and analyze various forms of literature, including a significant novel. The focus of the class will be on comprehension, and literary concepts such as theme, characterization, irony, and metaphor are emphasized. While instruction in reading skills is continuous, different aspects will be emphasized in The Art of Reading 6 Blue and The Art of Reading 6 Green and the works of literature and the writing assignments will be different. It is therefore possible to take the Blue or the Green sections either separately or together. THE ART OF READING 7 – Sections Red & Yellow Students in this class will continue to develop and refine their ability to read, comprehend and analyze literature and various forms of informational writing. They will read and dissect a variety of literary genres including one significant novel, and independent reading will be encouraged. Two goals of this class will be to develop more confident and enthusiastic readers. While instruction in reading skills is continuous, different aspects will be emphasized in The Art of Reading 7 Red and The Art of Reading 7 Yellow and the works of literature and the writing assignments will be different. It is therefore possible to take the Red or the Yellow sections either separately or together. THE ART OF READING 8-9 – Sections Blue & Green This course is intended to enhance the student’s understanding, comprehension and enjoyment of literature. They will become more adept at identifying themes and interpreting characterization and figurative language. Readings may include a significant novel, poetry, short stories, drama, and analytical essays. Students will write several papers based on the works of literature they are reading, and time will be devoted to exploring essay structure and developing a strong academic voice. While instruction in reading skills is continuous, different aspects will be emphasized in The Art of Reading 8/9 Blue and The Art of Reading 8/9 Green and the works of literature and the writing assignments will be different. It is therefore possible to take the Blue or the Green sections either separately or together. WRITING EXCELLENCE 6 – Sections Red & Yellow This course will expose students to a variety of core tools for the development of strong writing skills. With an emphasis on writing style, clarity, and analysis, students will also practice sentence construction, quotations and dialogue, similes and metaphors, and other writing conventions. While instruction in writing skills is continuous, different aspects of the writing process will be emphasized in Writing Excellence 6 Red and Writing Excellence 6 Yellow and the writing assignments will be different. It is therefore possible to take the Red or the Yellow sections either separately or together. WRITING EXCELLENCE 7 – Sections Blue & Green This course will help students refine the skills needed for success in Middle School. The focus will be on brainstorming, idea generation, organization techniques, grammar, compositional risk, vocabulary development and style. While instruction in writing skills is continuous, different aspects of the writing process will be emphasized in Writing Excellence 7 Blue and Writing Excellence 7 Green and the writing assignments will be different. It is therefore possible to take the Blue or the Green sections either separately or together. WRITING EXCELLENCE 8-9- Sections Red & Yellow The objective of this course is to learn and polish the skills needed to write high quality analytical essays of the type assigned in English and History classes in high school and beyond. Skills to be addressed include composing effective thesis statements and paragraphs, organizing the essay, acquiring and using supporting evidence and arguments, and editing/rewriting techniques. Although not a primary focus of in-class

************************************************* MATH CREDIT COURSES ALGEBRA II (CREDIT COURSE) – Section Orange This course covers the study of functions-linear, quadratic, inverse, trigonometric, discrete and recursive. These functions will be solved and graphed with and without the graphing calculator. The real number system will be extended to include rational exponents and complex numbers. (Prerequisite: Algebra I) GEOMETRY (CREDIT COURSE) – Section Orange This course is a study of the properties of points, lines, angles, plane figures and solids. Topics to be covered will include congruence, constructions, parallelism, similarity, perpendicularity, areas, and volumes. Emphasis is placed on deductive reasoning, mathematical proof and the postulates and theorems. Also the elements of coordinate geometry and right triangle trigonometry will be introduced. PRE-CALCULUS & TRIGONMETRY (CREDIT COURSE) – Section Orange This course expands the concepts of Algebra II and includes further study of functions and their graphs. The additional functions include polynomial, exponential and logarithmic, sequences, series, and limits. The six trigonometric functions will be studied in depth including functions of special and quadrant angles, fundamental identities, graphs, inverse trig functions, applications and trigonometry and trig equations. Parametric equations and polar graphing will be included.

************************************************* SCIENCE CREDIT COURSES BIOLOGY (CREDIT COURSE WITH LAB) – Section Orange The topics of this course include molecular biology, the cell, genetics, a taxonomic approach to the five kingdoms, and the important anatomical systems of animals. Lab work makes extensive use of the microscope. CHEMISTRY (CREDIT COURSE WITH LAB) – Section Orange Students will study matter and its changes including atomic structure, formula writing, balancing equations including ionic equations, stoichiometry, ionic and covalent bonds, the Periodic Table, the gas laws, thermochemistry, acids and bases, reaction rates and equilibrium, solubility, and concentrations of solutions, oxidations and reductions. Labs and lab reports are required.

While sections Blue and Red are the same, and sections Green and Yellow are the same, sections Blue and Red are different from Green and Yellow and can be taken separately or together. INSTRUMENTAL BAND The Summer Band workshop is for students with some band experience to improve their level of play, ensemble playing opportunities and music theory classes. This class will help the interested musician with continued practice throughout the summer. Students must provide their own instruments CHESS Are you up for a mental challenge? Do you dare to enter the world where the Queen is the most powerful chess piece, capable of deadly tactics like forks, skewers, x-rays, and back rank checkmates? This class is for you if you know the basics of chess but would like to improve your game to higher levels. You will be taught opening moves and strategies for your game. This class is taught by Mr. Robert Kraynik who has studied under Chess Master, Leonid Yudasin. Wardlaw-Hartridge chess is the home of some of the top 100 players in the country for their age. We love to see you display your awesome brain power that will allow you to rule the mental games of chess. Chess helps with strategic thinking and mathematics. Remember, chess is the gymnasium of the mind. It is a special place where almost all the smart kids rule.

AFTERNOON ENRICHMENT CLASSES Class times: 1:30 – 3:00 Afternoon enrichment classes are fun courses for those who want to try something new and exciting. Week 1: Exploring Acrylic Paints June 27 – July 1 1:30 - 3:00 Instructor: Mrs. S. Howard The fundamentals of acrylic painting will be taught. This year we will be learning about designs and using them in your painting. You will learn how to mix and blend acrylics to create a 12'' x 16'' painting. Acrylics, brushes, and canvas are provided. Week 2: Fun with Cards July 5 - July 8 1:30 - 3:00 Instructor: Mrs. S. Howard This class will be for those who love games and puzzles. We will be learning and competing in new card games and learn a few card tricks also. This will be a fun and relaxing class. Week 3: Journaling: Express Yourself July 11 - July 15 1:30 - 3:00 Instructor: Mrs. S. Howard You will learn numerous techniques and strategies to jump start your own journal. Techniques include watercolor, collage, stamping, resist, and drawing. You will be encouraged to explore color, line, shapes, and images. You will be inspired to express yourself using a variety of creative activities. While this class is similar to last year’s, new and exciting pages will emerge if you take the class again. All supplies are provided, however, you may want to include images, beads, and other found personal items. Please bring a photo of yourself to class. Week 4 & 5: Clay Creations Hand Building

June 18 - July 22 and/or July 15 - July 29 1:30-3:00 Instructor: Ms. T. Tucker Explore the world of hand built pottery and sculpture. Learn construction techniques of coiling, pinching, and slab construction to create exciting projects. There will be a week break to allow the clay to dry. They will use a variety of decorative techniques such as dripping, pouring, brushing, and scraffitto. You may take one or both weeks of hand building. All students must register for week 6 to complete the glazing of their creations. Week 6: Clay Creations Glazing August 1 – August 5 1:30 – 3:00 This week is a continuation of week 4 or 5. We will be finishing our creations with glazing and firing.

REGISTRATION and IMPORTANT INFORMATION OPEN HOUSE: MARCH 12 and APRIL 23, 2016, 9:30 am - 1:30 pm Come join the fun, check out the facilities and talk to the directors. Pulse Sports will also be available for questions. “campers” refer to Funshine and Adventure Camp, “students” refer to Summer Scholars and Brain Boosters. Staff – Our staff consists of a qualified, mature and dedicated group of professionals, teachers, camp counselors, and experienced lifeguards. Students and campers will be given individual attention. Background checks are done on all employees.

Campers – The campers are grouped according to grade levels. Each group has approximately 15 campers and a minimum of two counselors. For all camp trips, the counselor to camper ratio will be 1:5 or less.

Pick-up and Drop off – Instructions for pick-up and drop off will be sent to you after registration. Please use the designated areas only for the safety of your child and security control

Extended care – Extended care is for all campers and students who are in camp or classes from 8:30 through to 3:00 and in grades PreK - 10th gr. Before care: 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM - must pre-register - $10 per morning. Before care will take place in the gym. After care: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM - pre-registration is not necessary. $5.00 for each half hour or part of the half hour. Campers and students will be signed in to Aftercare if they are here at 3:15 PM. After care children will be in our “Encore” room and/or playground. Children are to be picked up at the entrance by the playground. For safety reasons all other Summer Scholar students must leave school grounds within 15 minutes of his/her last class. Lunch and snacks – Please be sure the nurse is aware of all food allergies. Hot lunch is provided for Funshine and Adventure campers, and available for sports campers and students who stay for afternoon electives. All meals will be served with a choice of milk, water or juice drink. Fruit and vegetarian options will be available daily. Campers will need to bring their own morning snacks. An afternoon snack will be provided for them before they leave at 3:00. Summer Scholars may bring a snack or purchase a snack during their morning break (cash only). Lunch is only available to those students staying for the afternoon enrichment classes. Lunch is an additional $50 per week. Lunches need to be paid for in advance at the Summer Office. No refunds for missed lunches. Medical Information Form – It is a state regulation that the confidential Medical Information Form be completed for each camper and student. This form will be kept with our camp nurse and trip director. Applications cannot be processed without a medical form. This form does not need to be filled out by a doctor, but a list of immunizations from the doctor must accompany the medical form. A new form needs to be filled out each year.

Dress Code – Campers and students should dress in casual, comfortable but appropriate clothing. Please avoid clothing that is distracting or distasteful (as determined by the Summer Programs director). All campers must wear sneakers. All campers will be given a camp shirt for the season on the first week of attendance. Camp shirts must be worn on all camp trips, and can be worn on other days to prevent damage to their own clothing due to art projects and outdoor games. Additional shirts may be purchased for $10 per shirt. Campers should label all clothing, towels, camp shirts and swimsuits. Wearing excessive jewelry is not recommended. The camp is not responsible for lost personal items. Discipline – The Wardlaw -Hartridge School is a place where all children feel welcome and safe. Therefore, we reserve the right to dismiss any child from our programs who is disruptive, exhibits any behavior that intimidates or threatens the camp or school experience of any other camper/student, is destructive to school property and grounds and/or for any other reason deemed by any of the Summer Programs Directors. Please direct any issues or concerns directly to the Director or to the Summer Programs assistant. We will always make time to meet with you.

Holiday – All programs will be closed on Monday, July 4, 2016 Registration – Registrations can be completed online at whschool.org and click on “Summer Programs,“ or request a paper application. A separate application needs to be filled out for each child. Applications are processed in the order that they are received. No application will be processed without a medical form or the appropriate fees. Registration is ongoing and continues throughout the summer as long as space is available. We reserve the right to cancel a class if we do not have sufficient enrollment for that course. After the application has been received, approved and processed, a confirmation will be sent by mail. Registration for additional weeks of camp must be made by the prior Thursday. If you need assistance with the online registration, please visit our summer programs office and we can work with you.

Fee Exceptions Registration fee waiver – If your application, medical form, and full payment are received by April 25, we will waive the registration fees for Funshine and Adventure Camp, Summer Scholars and Brain Boosters. Summer Scholars Early Bird Bonus – If your application, medical form, and full payment are received by April 1st, you will receive a $100 discount per student. Student must be registered for a credit course or at least two sessions. New Family Referral Bonus – If you refer a new Funshine or Adventure camper who signs up for at least two full weeks, or Summer Scholar student that takes a credit or 4 session class, you will receive a $50 bonus check at the end of the summer for each referral. The new camper/student or any member of their family must not have attended any of the WH Summer Programs previously. A referral form is required. W-H Student Advantage – Any camper/student that is fully enrolled to attend Wardlaw-Hartridge for the 2016-2017 school year at the time of registration will have the all registration fees waived.

Refunds For Camp Funshine, Adventure, and Sports Camps – Withdrawal from camp must be made at least two weeks prior to the registered week for a refund. During any given camp week, refunds will be given only if your child is absent for three consecutive days due to illness and a dated doctor’s note is submitted. Registration fees are not refundable. If payments were made by credit card, 3% will be deducted for transaction fees. For Academic Summer Classes and Brain Boosters – Withdrawals anytime before June 1st - all but $200 of the school fees will be refunded. Withdrawal on or before June 8th – 50% of school fees will be refunded. After June 8th – No refunds. Please note that the registration fees are not refundable and not part of the school fees. If payments were made by credit card, 3% will be deducted for transaction fees. Cancellations due to insufficient class size will be refunded at 100% including registration fees.

Payments – Payments are accepted by credit card or check. Payment in full is due at time of registration. (Payment plans can be made with all payments due by June 8th for students and two weeks prior to the camp week for campers.) Payments by credit card must be done online with the registration. Payments by check can be made by mail or in person in the Summer Programs Office. Make all checks payable to: “The Wardlaw-Hartridge School” and write the names of your children on the memo section of the check. A special note to Wardlaw-Hartridge parents – please do not combine camp fees with regular school payments, as they are separate accounts.
