Bundi stamped papers depict him in both twoarmed and four-armed forms. (See Bibliography: K. Robbins #22.) Note the quaint style of lettering for the inscription Edward and Emperor. As is often the case with Indian coins, much of the inscription is off the flan. 15246 India, Decorative Arts Chamba Coin of Lakar Shah A Basohli Brahmin who controlled the state administration circa 1844. He was assassinated by state officials under orders from the Rani. Since he was a relative of Pandit Jalla, one of the top leaders in Lahore, his death precipitated a Sikh invasion. London". It is dated 1928 but actually struck in 1931-2. This is significant because Maharana Fateh Singh did not die until 1930. He tried to keep up the image of his dynasty as one that never really submitted to the central power in Delhi. 15257 India, Decorative Arts Nawanagar Nineteenth century coin Coin with the frozen date A.H. 978 in imitation of the coins Muzaffer III of Gujarat struck three centuries earlier. 15258 India, Decorative Arts Partabgarh S i l v e r r u p e e i n n a m e o f Queen Victoria as The "Shah of London" 15259 India, Decorative Arts Rewa Coin inscribed, after a fashion, in the name "Agent Bushby Sahib" 1849 Bushby was the British Resident. Coins from these states are found not only in a variety of irregular shapes, but overstruck on coins of Baroda and Sailana, as well as earlier issues of Lunawada. The coin on the left was previously thought to have been issued by Rampura because it was inscribed Sri Rampur. This actually referred to Sant's capital, Rampur. The tiny state of Rampur (with an area of 4.5 square miles) should not be confused by the large state of Rampur or another Rampura in Mahi Kantha. The two other coins are attributed to Wakhat Singh who was Maharana of Lunawada from 1867 to 1929. The average annual production circa 1870 of Lunawaris and Rampurias was 400 rupees and 175 rupees respectively.

One Government rupee was worth 80-7 Luniwaris or 90-5 Rampurias.
