The European Productivity Conference EPC 2007 and 10 National Productivity Forum

European Productivity Conference EPC 2007 & the 10th National Productivity Forum

Science converts money into knowledge. Innovation converts knowledge into money. The long-term success of an enterprise is based on its global scale competitiveness. National productivity centres, joined together in the European Association of National Productivity Centres consider productivity as a key factor influencing competitiveness of European enterprises. That is one of the reasons, why they organize the EUROPEAN PRODUCTIVITY CONFERENCE, where industrialists, researchers as well as politicians consider EU productivity. The 2007 conference is being organized by the Slovak Productivity Center and takes place in the Slovak Republic. The link between competitiveness and productivity lies in a society, which does not only utilize knowledge, but creates some. Knowledge cannot be effectively created without dynamic innovation processes. That’s why this year’s conference is divided into four major topics; which are strongly connected to each other. Presentations are to be complemented by the opening round-table discussion, where politicians and representatives of scientific and enterprise spheres will consider political and economical aspects of EU competitiveness. The politicians and conference representatives will to sum up the competitive trends in relation to productivity at the final round-table. The four workshops will provide a practical introduction into methods that facilitate substantial productivity increase in enterprises. The conference is aimed at top managers, entrepreneurs, technicians and economists and at those who are engaged in research, university or public sphere. Guarantees Peter Rehnström EANPC president
