The Black Pearl Sanctuary This session brings balance to the Neurovascular system, the Hypothalamus & to the emotions. Your client will most likely sink into a very deep, calm and peaceful place. You are actually working with the 5 Rhythms from Chinese Medicine bringing the Rhythms back into harmony. The Neurovascular (NV) reflex points are most often used for managing stress and blood flow. Bringing the blood back into the brain supports clear thinking and re-centers one emotionally. There’s actually a reason you can’t think straight when stress hits—all the blood has drained from your head and moved into your body for life saving fight or flight. So when you hold the NV reflex points you are helping to restore the blood, energy, oxygen and cerebrospinal fluid back into the brain. Let us calm the system, bring the flow back and help your client return to centeredness. To the best of my knowledge this was originally taught as a meditation by Master Stephen Co. Then Donna Eden and Sara Allen developed it into an energy medicine session calling it the Black Pearl Sanctuary. The Black Pearl refers to the hypothalamus which actually shrinks when confronted with continual stress. This session will help to restore it to a healthy functioning level support those negative, fear-filled thoughts to shift towards greater trust, joy and inner peace.

This can be a stand alone session or in conjunction with other work. As always, be mindful as you are working around the head. No perfumes, ticking watches, jangly jewelry or anything else that makes noise. Your clients sensitivities will be heightened and they will be aware of these things. Make sure you hands are clean and free of scents. As always, make sure both you and your client are comfortable. Check in to make sure you stay relaxed and make any necessary adjustments. Know that as you sink into the depths of your peacefulness, it supports your client to do the same. And for QTers, remember to always run the energy, sweeping and breathing, although I wouldn’t do the Fire Breathing during this session. A rhythmic 4:4 may be your best option. Be mindful not to breathe in their face, especially if you had garlic for lunch! :) Remember that when you do this work with gentleness and love you cannot do it wrong. And yes, you are assisting them in a powerful way. Human to human is the way we can begin to create a world of deeper caring, connection, creativity and well-being. The work you offer matters. Step 1—Hold these two points at the same time. Hold for at least 2 minutes. Power Point at the occipital ridge—place middle finger at center notch at the base of the skull Third Eye Point on the forehead—place middle finger lightly on the third eye area, between the eyebrows and about an inch higher onto the forehead

Step 2—Hold these areas lightly on both sides of the head. Hold for at least 2 minutes. Hold the Spleen NV points about an inch above the ears using your thumb and 2 fingers to form a tripod pointing towards the head.

Step 3—Hold these two areas lightly on both sides of the head. Hold for at least 2 minutes. Palms and fingers flat against the head, 2 fingers in front of the ears and 2 fingers behind the ears (Triple Warmer).

Step 4—Hold these two areas lightly on both sides of the head. Hold for at least 2 minutes. Slide your Index/Middle fingers under the cheekbones below the eyes (Stomach NV) and your thumbs above your eyebrows (Main Frontal NV).

Step 5—Hold these two areas lightly on both sides of the head. Hold for at least 2 minutes. Slide your Index/Middle fingers down to the jawbone (Stomach) and your thumbs to the temples (Triple Warmer).

Step 6—Hold these two areas lightly on both sides of the head. Hold for at least 2 minutes. Slide your Index/Middle finger up to the temples (Triple Warmer) and your thumbs to the hairline (Liver NV).

Step 7—Hold these two areas lightly. Hold for at least 2 minutes. Place your 3 finger tripod on the crown chakra (top of head) and a 3 finger tripd on the Heart or High Heart Center.

Then do a closing sequence or move on to the next thing you are doing. They will likely be pretty deep so move slowly and speak softly, giving them time to resettle in the room. If you choose to use aromatherapy, speak with them about it before beginning the session. I have them choose a blend for the day, then when I’m ready to begin The Sanctuary, I apply the blend to my palms and have them take a few deep breaths (my hands are near their nose). Then I begin the flow. The subtle oils can bring another level of healing to the session. The best way to find out about new services, workshops and products is to be on my email list.
