Special Thanks A message from La Salle President Denise L. Jones La Salle is an exceptional place. Our standards are rigorous; our commitment to scholarship and accessibility, unmatched. None of the work we do would touch as many young lives as it does without the generous and steadfast support from believers like you. You are the lifeblood of this school. It is said the greatest form of teaching is through modeling what we hope to inspire in others. Tonight you are all great teachers. Your gifts embody our shared mission of service, scholarship and inclusiveness. Thank you to our benefactors who have donated items to our auction packages, or underwritten expenses of the evening, to assure the gifts tonight go directly to assuring all students, regardless of financial capacity, may be a part of our La Salle community. Lastly, on behalf of the entire leadership team, I offer my deepest thanks to the incredible energy of Julie Dowhaniuk and her volunteer team for creating this memorable evening. May you all be blessed, as richly as you have blessed others. Live Jesus in our hearts forever.

Denise L. Jones, President La Salle Catholic College Preparatory

Heads or Tails Buy-In: $25 Maximum Buy-Ins: 4 per person The last person standing wins and splits the pot with La Salle. The more people who participate, the bigger the pot! Sign-up with a student ambassador to purchase your buy-ins and receive your necklace. Each necklace counts as one buy-in. Ticket sales close at 7:15 pm. How to Play 1. After the dinner, the Master of Ceremonies (MC) will start the game and ask all participants to stand up. 2. The MC will announce: “Place your hand on your head (heads) or on your bottom (tails).” Every participant wearing at least one beaded necklace will choose by placing his or her hands on their head or their tail. 3. The MC will flip a coin. If it lands on heads, then all those with their hands on their heads remain standing. Those with their hands on their bums sit down. Or vice versa if the coin lands on tails. 4. If someone purchased multiple buy-ins and chose heads but the coin landed on tails or vice versa, they must take off one of their necklaces. When participants run out of necklaces they are eliminated and must sit down.

Women & Wine Adventure to wineries of the Northern Willamette Valley Ladies only! Prepare once again to embark on a tour de vino! Participants in this adventure will begin their journey at 10:00 am on Sunday, May 22, 2016. These lucky women will meet at La Salle for coffee and light fare and then climb aboard a private luxury bus headed south to the Willamette Valley. The group will visit three boutique vineyards. King’s Raven Winery has amazing Willamette Valley views from their estate vineyard established in 1999. St. Josef’s Winery, a La Salle Alum family-owned and operated winery, has been handcrafting award winning estate wines since 1983. Here we will have lunch, tour the winery, learn about the wine-making process and sustainable vineyards, and visit the lush grounds. The final destination of the tour will bring the group to Aurora Colony Vineyards. We will taste premiere estate wines and sample chocolate desserts. Let us do the driving for you – you will return to La Salle with new friends, precious memories, and additions to your personal wine cellar. The price per person is $65 and there are only 50 seats! Reserve your space by filling in your bidder number on the sign-up board during cocktail hour! Special thanks to King’s Raven Winery, St. Josef’s Winery, and Aurora Colony Vineyards.

5. The MC will announce again, “Choose heads or tails,” and the remaining participants again will choose. Those who chose the wrong one will be eliminated unless they have another buy-in to use. 6. This choosing and coin flipping continues until one person remains standing. That person is the winner!

Our Scholars

VIP Falcon

Dollars for Scholars

For serious La Salle lovers only!

Our Lasallian mission calls us to provide a Catholic, college preparatory education to all who desire it, regardless of financial circumstances. St. John Baptist de La Salle knew that authentic social justice is only realized when all are empowered to lift themselves to their full potential through the power of education.

Back by popular demand! This is for the ultimate La Salle socialite, volunteer, super parent, and coolest kid around. Your student is set for lunch and dances all year and you’re automatically covered for every fun event. Best of all you never have to worry about being late because your parking spot will always be there.

With your help we continue to fulfill our mission. This year over $1.9 million in need-based financial assistance was distributed to 58% of our students, with an average grant of $5,000.

This package includes: • Reserved parking spot 24/7 at La Salle from 9/2016 through 8/2017 • $860 lunch account credit for cafeteria meals during 20162017 school year • Two Steak and Seafood tickets, January 2017 (21+) • Two Yulefest tickets, December 3, 2016 (21+) • One student ticket to 2016-2017 school dances (Welcome Dance, Homecoming, Sadie Hawkins, Prom, and St. La Salle Day Dance) • One Booster family membership for 2016-2017 • Two Patron tickets to the Believe Benefit Dinner, Oct. 1, 2016 • Tickets for a family of four to the Western BBQ, April 2017 • Reserved pew for 6 at the 50th Anniversary Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral, May 2017

These numbers are impressive but they are short of the $3 million of documented need that existed among families who desired to attend La Salle this year. Your Dollars for Scholars paddle raise supports tuition assistance efforts for the student scholars that make us Believe in the power of Lasallian education! Thank you to Makahi Hurst-Sloan ‘16 for sharing his story as a beneficiary of financial assistance. Special thanks to Jim ‘77 and Linda Pliska, Space Age Fuel - Matching Gift Challenge
