Will I need to attend a training centre? No, you do the course at a time and place that suits you, completely online. What devices will the course run on? Most of our courses will work on PCs, MACs, tablets and smart phones. You can check by looking at the relevant section of this catalogue. How long will the courses take to complete? Estimated course durations are provided in this catalogue. But of course, some people take longer and some people take shorter than the quoted timeframe. I will probably be working on it in the evenings and at weekends, is that a problem? No. you get access to the system 24/7, so it is up to you when you do it. Will I get a certificate when I complete your courses? Yes, certificates are issued for all our courses. Your training certificate will be available for immediate download as soon as you achieve 70% or more in the end of course assessment. IOSH certificates take a bit longer because IOSH print them and send them by post. What happens if I fail the test, do I have to pay again to sit another test? EXAM AND PROJECT



You will need to undertake an exam and project to complete the course.



Both the exam and the project are taken online – there is no need to attend a training venue.



The exam is made up of 25 multiple choice questions. You can retake the assessment if you do not pass first time. You will need to register to take the course again if you do not pass on the second attempt. The project is a risk assessment of your workplace, or other location that you have access to. Again, it is completed online, but there is an option to submit a paper copy if you would prefer that approach.

On successful completion of the exam and project you will be sent a genuine IOSH Managing safely certificate.

Silica dust is a major health risk to construction workers, second only to asbestos. It is believed to be responsible for around 500 deaths every year. The number of people suffering ill health effects from silica dust exposure could be reduced significantly if people understood the risks and took appropriate action.

The certificate is dated and contains a reference number so that its authenticity can be confirmed.
