Plugs right in Gen2 Switch uses single-phase power so you don’t have to install three-phase power – or wait for its installation – just for an elevator.

Renewable-ready Gen2 Switch’s battery system lets it take advantage of fluctuating energy supplies such as wind and solar power. And the battery, made of 97% recycled materials, is itself 90% recyclable.

No interruptions If the power fails, Gen2 Switch elevators transition smoothly from the grid to battery power. Passengers won’t realize the power is out until they reach their destination.

Lowest voltage, highest VDI

The Gen2 Switch had already earned a Class A rating*, the highest possible energy-efficiency rating according to VDI 4707 standards. Now we’ve refined it further, so it uses mainly 48V voltage. This lower voltage is safer to work with, reduces energy loss, and means that on standby power, the elevator uses less energy than a lightbulb.
