Screen Planting - The purpose of Screen Planting is to hide fences and large unarticulated walls. Foundation plants usually grow to a height of about 5’ to 6’.

Accent Planting - Accent plants tend to be more unique and come in a wide range of sizes and shapes. Accent plants are typically used on either wide of a walkway, steps, entrance or door. Accent plants can be individual plants, or they can be small groupings.

Field Planting / Mass Planting - Turf is the most common Field Planting. But other small plants can also be used as Field Plants. Field Plants tend to be lower in scale with a mature height of about 8” to 16”. The patterns tend to be triangulated or slightly random. In general, do not “line up” field planting. Field Planting can consist of more than one species … when multiple species are used, they are usually placed in clusters, drifts or groupings.

Headers or curbing the top of any curbing shall be flush with the top of the adjacent turf or decomposed granite. NO raised curbing is allowed. NO scuppers or drainage dips are allowed in the curbing.
