Scientific and Academic Endeavors The heart of the University’s Progressive Identity At Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University’s constituent colleges, the community of scholars, physicians and surgeons, students and residents all come together to form a vibrant ‘Scientific and Academic Forum’. The forum serves to foster collaborative cooperation between our faculty and departments, showcase ongoing projects, progresses and discuss findings and clinical cases, and to inculcate the spirit of scientific and academic interest in the younger generation of healthcare professionals. The Scientific and Academic Forum is a proud tradition of the University and its colleges. The forum meets regularly once every month when the community of our faculty assemble into a fraternity of professionals to hold a minor scientific conference style meeting. The tradition has grown strong year after year, with every new executive committee leaving its own mark of excellence in conducting the forum. The SAF also holds two important annual functions: The M. V. Krishnamoorthy Iyer Oration and the K. Rukmani Ammal Oration. The greatest visionaries in the field of medicine are invited, honoured and introduced to the audience. Their Oration is a highlight event of the academic year and is well attended. The Luminaries freely share their lifetime of experience with the faculty, inspiring them and granting them a glimpse into their work. The Orations set high standards for our fraternity to aspire for.
