In the industrial world, the heat & humidity from process especially during summer months can become both a health consideration and a production concern - especially for production line employees or the welding booth operator who wear the Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) or distribution center workers who work around machinery that generate heat & humidity. Spot Duct Cooler or Warmer Air Curtain

Human body attempts to maintain a constant internal temperature of 37°C at all times. In hot weather, the body produces sweat, which cools the body as it evaporates. As humidity or the moisture content in the air increases, sweat does not evaporate as readily. Sweat evaporation stops entirely when the relative humidity reaches about 90 percent. Under these circumstances, the body temperature rises & may cause illness. Occupational (Industrial) hygienists recommend using the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGTs) & Threshold Limit Values (TLVs) which translated to Humidex level which tells us how hot we feel. Under certain workplace conditions, the humidex may serve as an indicator of discomfort resulting from occupational exposures to heat. The Occupational Health Clinics for Ontario Workers Inc. (OHCOW), humidex above 38 leads to 15 minutes heat breaks. For many years, plant managers & owners have struggled with this problem of how to adequately provide cooling with large conventional systems for their workers to insure peak production and a safe working environment. How does Spot Solution Work?

Treat the Worker, Not the Space: In general, Spot solution uses insulated 2" inner diameter supply tubing that carries high velocity, reduce volumes of dehumidified conditioned air to be delivered directly to the factory worker. This conditioned air will create a comfort zone by making an air curtain of cooler or warmer air than stagnate air around worker as shown in Fig. 1. It's a source of effective relief without the expensive undertaking associated with conditioning the entire factory. Due to lower volume of air, our spot solution provides 30% more humidity removal with the superior & efficient design of the cooling coils, creating a comfortable environment, over traditional HVAC systems of same size. How does GEOSpot System Work? We Design Build Geothermal field which is 65% smaller than conventional geothermal field, huge savings. Solution 1: Our GEOSpot solution is innovative & is a novel combination of traditional HVAC & Renewable technology (Geothermal). The solution combine hydronic chilled water space air cooling & warm water space heating in one package.

GEOSpot - The Solution which can provide Cooling Energy Efficiency Ratio EER of 25 & Heating Coefficient of Performance COP of 4.5

The Ground - A geothermal system uses the energy of the sun, stored in the earth, ready to provide comfort all year round. Even in the winter, when a blanket of snow covers the ground, the earth's temperature remains approximately 10°C (50°F) at only six feet below the surface. This means that a steady supply of heat is available to provide comfort, even in the depths of the coldest winter. A series of pipes buried in the ground in a vertical fashion. A thermal fluid is circulated through the pipes to make them highly efficient conductors of heat. In the winter, the thermal fluid in the pipes absorbs the heat from the ground and, now warmed up, the fluid is pumped back through the geothermal unit in the mechanical room to deliver heat. In the summer, the heat transfer process takes place in reverse. The fluid in the pipes leaves the plant in a warm state, but after circulating underground, is cooled as the pipes exchange heat with the much cooler earth. Thermal Fluid in pipes. The Mechanical Room - Central water to water heat pumps, thermal fluid, circulating pumps, piping, insulation, & controls located in a relatively smaller mechanical room. Depending on the seasons, the entire system either produces chilled or warm thermal fluid which will deliver to indoor spot units & new coils of existing fresh air units . Indoor Spot System - The indoor spot system is an innovative & unique system which operates differently from conventional HVAC system. This System uses an approach whereby the new breed of air handlers (Low Air Volume) connected to insulated piping system which can deliver maximum cooling and heating via insulated small high velocity duct system including 2" branch supply tubing that carries high velocity, reduce volumes of conditioned air to be delivered directly to the factory worker. The system as a whole is much quieter than a typical furnace or air handler and duct system that you find in a regular industrial space. Due to lower volume of air, our spot solution provides 30% more humidity removal with the superior & efficient design of the cooling coils, creating a comfortable environment, over traditional HVAC systems of same size. Recognizing this, U.S. Department of Energy has created a separate test standards & efficiency rating of this product. The existing ventilation system, if any, may needed to be upgraded by adding cooling coils sections to suit 50% of the total fresh air in selective units which will function as heating coils in winter to temper fresh air and save natural gas.

How does RealSpot System Work?

Solution: Direct Expansion self- contained outdoor air to water heat

pump (WHP) connected with indoor unit through insulated piping system. The outdoor unit produces either chilled or warm thermal fluid that will circulate using circulating pump located within the WHP body through indoor units to maintain comfort conditions. The supplement heating can be provided with either electrical heating, hydronic heating or steam heating. Outdoor unit can mount on floor or roof and can operate safely where ambient air temperature in winter is above -10oC. The indoor spot system is an innovative & unique system which operates differently from conventional HVAC system. This System uses an approach whereby the new breed of air handlers (Low Air Volume) connected to insulated piping system can deliver maximum cooling and heating via insulated small high velocity duct system including 2" branch supply tubing that carries high velocity, reduce volumes of conditioned air to be delivered directly to the factory worker.
