If you wish to be part of the Memorial Booklet this year, please notify Ellen by 9/29. Ellen Johnson, CSI, 1666 Pleasantville Road, Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510. $18 for the first 3 lines, $3 a line after that. Thank you!

Sharing a workload makes everything a little easier. This is true for the most basic things, like preparing a meal, or for something with as many moving parts as the High Holidays at the CSI! Each of us adds meaning to our communal services by being there and more so by helping us to ensure a smooth, comfortable experience. We invite you to help us by USHERING either in the sanctuary or at one the doors. You can assist with our annual budgetary requirements by purchasing RESERVED SEATS and/or RESERVED PARKING. CHAIR SET UP is Sunday, 9/25, from 9 -11 AM. More helpers make easy work of it! It’s never too early to order a LULAV & ETROG. All orders are due by 10/5. And of course, please respond to a HH ALIYAH invitation within a few days of receiving it.

RESERVED

A MESSAGE REGARDING HIGH HOLIDAY RESERVED SEATS AT CSI Dear Fellow Congregant: I am writing to ask that you consider the purchase of reserved seating for the High Holidays this year. Please be aware that the synagogue receives significant funding through programs such as this, and these discretionary fundraisers allow some degree of dues stabilization in an environment of increasing costs and expenses. Some congregants have the desire to support the synagogue in this fundraising effort, but for a variety of reasons prefer not to sit in the reserved seating area. In past years we encouraged these individuals to consider the purchase of seats that would be “donated” back to the synagogue. Such seats are used for the discretionary seating of elderly congregants or others who might benefit from sitting in the reserved area. There has been a good response to this solicitation in the years it has been in effect. We hope to build on this trend and see both the reserved seat and the donated seat programs grow. You may also purchase reserved parking for yourself or as a donation for another member. We would like to avoid utilizing synagogue resources for follow-up to this solicitation, so I urge you to act now if you decide to purchase reserved seats. This is a busy time of year, but the High Holidays are quickly approaching. The form on the back of this letter details the seat categories and costs and can be returned to the synagogue to secure your reservation. Please be sure to complete the area which designates whether purchased seats are for your use or are being “donated” for synagogue use. Thank you very much for your consideration of this request. Sincerely,

Eric Wrubel Vice President

HIGH HOLIDAY BABYSITTING REGISTRATION September 2016 To the Parents of Children Aged 18 Months to 5 Years: CSI is pleased to offer complimentary babysitting for children 18 months to 5 years old during services on the High Holidays. In order to provide the best possible supervision for your children, we request your cooperation with the following:

Please understand that all of our rules are for the comfort and protection of your children.

Children must be registered by Wednesday, 9/28, in order to be sure we have the right number of babysitters and to allow us ample time to prepare name tags for children and their parents.

Please note that ONLY those children who are registered will be permitted to remain in the babysitting rooms.

SAFETY & SECURITY: Children are not allowed on the playground without parental supervision. Older children or adults, including parents and siblings, will not be allowed to stay in the babysitting rooms.

Children who are not toilet trained must be monitored by their parents, as our babysitters will not be changing diapers.

The only food permitted in the babysitting rooms will be cookies and juice supplied by CSI. If you wish to feed your child lunch, we ask that you take your child out of the building. Please don’t wait until the last minute to register. It is to everyone’s advantage that we are able to provide enough babysitting help and can provide name tags for all children and parents. The safety of your child is our primary concern. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Best wishes for a healthy and happy New Year! !SEPTEMBER 28th.
