Six Sigma Champion Training – for Green Belt & Black Belt Programs
Six Sigma is an overall business improvement methodology that uses data to measure and improve a company's operational performance by eliminating or preventing defects in processes. This is a cornerstone course of a Six Sigma deployment. The object is to train the Champion in selection and support of a Black Belt candidate and project. "Hands on" training in several of the Six Sigma tools is provided during this course. The course consists of 2 days of training. Prerequisites are a willingness to accept data driven change and to hold a position in the organization to effect such change and remove barriers. The Champion manages a Six Sigma deployment at the "actionable level" and is responsible for selecting Six Sigma projects that have a clear line of sight to the organization's objectives. They also maintain a backlog of these projects and are responsible for estimating cost savings and initial defect levels of the project. The Champion participates in the selection of the Black Belt or Green Belt candidates and supports them while working on their respective projects. Other responsibilities include removing barriers and providing resources during the project, ensuring that improvements are implemented and that controls are in place to sustain the gains.

should be self‐starters, be open‐minded and have a desire to drive change in an organization. They should be a team player and be well respected by their peers.
Program Objectives:
Six Sigma is not another quality program. It is an overall business improvement methodology that uses data to measure and improve a company's operational performance by eliminating or preventing defects in processes. Green Belts Facilitate teams and are critical in deploying the Six Sigma culture throughout the organization. Green Belts lead projects in their specific functional area and often serve as highly effective team members on Black Belt projects. Since a Green Belt is only required to spend 20 percent of their time on Six Sigma work, it allows front line managers, process engineers and quality department personnel to participate in the program. This exposure to the various departments provides for an efficient way to reach critical mass in an organization. Green Belt open enrollment training takes 4 months consisting of 4, two day training phases. There is a three‐week application period after each phase. During the application period, the participants return to their work environments and apply the tools and methodologies on their projects. Optional on‐site support is typically supplied by the organization's certified Black Belts to ensure candidate understanding and application of the methodology. When required, a Datazinc Master Black Belt will provide the support. Candidates for the Green Belt program include anyone with process and product knowledge, basic math fundamentals, organization familiarity, solid communication and team facilitation skills. Green Belts
Gain an understanding of the Six Sigma DMAIC problem solving methodology Help spread the Six Sigma culture by practicing the methodology in their day‐to‐day job activities Successfully complete small scale improvement projects in their respective areas Support Black Belts and Master Black Belts on high impact cross‐functional projects Develop the communication skills necessary to interact with all levels of an organization
On‐Site Support:
Datazinc provides Master Black Belt on‐site project support for each participant at your location between training phases. This high‐level of one‐on‐one support is to ensure the trainee's understanding and application of the six sigma methodology on their respective projects. Two support visits are included with the training, however additional support days can be purchased.

LEAN Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate
Six Sigma is not another quality program. It is an overall business improvement methodology that uses data to measure and improve a company's operational performance by eliminating or preventing defects in processes. This instructor‐led training is a proven strategy employing a data‐driven, analytical approach to solving your organization's chronic problems by following the Train‐Plan‐Apply‐Review cycle. The program consists of 14 days of in‐class training spanning a five‐month period. After each training week, the participants return to their work environments and apply the tools and methodologies learned in training on their respective projects. On‐site project support is available for each participant. Black Belts are the foundation of every successful Six Sigma program. They facilitate project teams and serve as technical and cultural change agents for the organization. By successfully applying the methodology, Black Belts act as catalysts in spreading the Six Sigma culture throughout an organization, its customers and supply base. In addition, Black Belts are recognized by the organization as experts in data collection and analysis and are often called upon as internal consultants when making critical business decisions. Potential candidates for the Black Belt program should be the "best of best" the organization has to
offer. Each participant should possess a willingness to learn, have a demonstrated track record for accomplishing difficult tasks and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Program Objectives:
To develop selected candidates into certified Six Sigma Black Belts with a thorough understanding of the following:
D.M.A.I.C. problem solving methodology Roles and responsibilities and the required culture for Six Sigma Application of the methodology on projects Project selection and overall business goals Communication skills necessary to interact with a levels of an organization
