INSTRUCTIONS: These awards and scholarships are intended for Churchill students who are graduating from high school. You may apply only one time for these awards. Students walk the stage only once. That is the year you should apply.  Read through the Awards/Bursaries/Scholarship Package. 



All students applying for these awards, bursaries or scholarships must complete:  the Student Application 2015 Awards/Bursaries/Scholarships Application Form (pages 5 and 6);  Awards Checklist (Page 7), and  the top portion of the Teacher Referee Form (page 8).

  

Return all completed forms to Student Services by: Friday, April 17th – Noon Awards, bursaries, and scholarships are subject to cancellation or change without notice. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that all criteria has been met.

BURSARY A Bursary is a non‐repayable grant given to enable a student to pursue further studies. Evidence of the person=s ability to continue and of financial need is usually required. Bursaries are established in much the same fashion as scholarships. SCHOLARSHIP Financial aid based on merit and paid directly to the student in the form of an outright gift. Some scholarships are given to students who have a particular ability or skill such as athletics or leadership potential; others are based on your scholastic record. CREDIT COUNSELLING SHEET A Credit Counselling sheet is a complete list of all courses taken by a student. As well, it identifies what courses a student still requires for an OSS Diploma, community hours and present courses. POST SECONDARY EDUCATION The level of education after senior high school, such as university, college, or apprenticeship. TRANSCRIPT A transcript is a formal record of your high school courses and grades.
