“Our Need to Change” Reading I ................Isaiah 11:1-10 (The Rule of Emmanuel)

Reading II ..........Romans 15:4-9 (Prayer of Encouragement)

Key Passage: This is the one [John the Baptist] of whom the prophet Isaiah spoke when he said, “The voice of one crying out in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.” (Matthew 3:3) Adult: What do you need to change so that others can learn from watching you that Christ walks among us? Youth: What could you do so that others will see in you what it means to follow Jesus?

FOCUS ON THE GOSPEL STEWARDSHIP

“For you do not know on which day your Lord will come.” ~ Matthew 24:42 People who have had health issues or near-death experiences generally have a greater appreciation for each day being a gift from God. The rest of us usually take for granted that we will be around tomorrow. But when you start to look at each day as a gift, you realize all the little miracles that happen daily and grow in gratitude for all that we have been given. The Road to Emmaus Even though the disciples walked with Jesus for 3 years, they did not recognize him on the road to Emmaus. No matter how long one has been Catholic, the journey is ongoing so that we, too, may recognize Jesus more fully. Our Emmaus journey will be each Wednesday starting, November 30th from 9:30-11:00AM in room #3 of the parish center. Our focus will be on Jesus, a pilgrimage into his life and the lessons we can learn. Please join us on this pilgrimage while we walk our Road to Emmaus. For more information, contact Barbara at 819-5134 or [email protected].

Discover the Richness of Our Faith at RCIA The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process through which people join or complete their initiation into the Catholic Church. Do you or someone you know want to learn more about the Catholic faith? Consider joining us! All are welcome! We meet on Wednesdays from 7:00 to 8:30PM in the parish center in room #3. This week Barbara will be teaching about Advent. If you have questions or would like additional information contact Barbara at 819-5134.

Tweet of the Week from

His Holiness Pope Francis The holiday season may be difficult to cope with when you have experienced the death of a loved one. Rather than being times of family togetherness, holidays can bring feelings of sadness, loss and emptiness. HPH Hospice is offering a Hope for the Holidays workshop which provides guidance and support to help cope with your grief during the holidays. Please plan to join us on Monday, December 5th, in the parish center from 2:00 to 4:00PM. To register or for additional information call HPH Hospice at 816-3647.
