Saint James Way, European tourist destination ThE PaTh MakES you FEEL good ! The First European cultural route, with several stages classed by UNESCO, the Saint James Way crosses Europe. Wherever you are, in whatever country, there is always a path nearby where hospitality has been offered for centuries. Still authentic as well as modern, the path makes you feel good, say walkers who come back changed by their long journey along well maintained and signposted paths. The pathway in your mind is often more important than the path on the ground. Each person has his own motivation. The way carries you along, it is not you who takes the path but the path which takes you away ! An urge to walk, a physical challenge, a need put your life in perspective, to get away from it all, to meditate after some hardship in life, alone or in a group, each walker sees his journey differently. You can walk anywhere in the world, but you do the Saint-James Way !

The Saint James Way European Federation aims to guarantee the official position of its institutional collaborators. It is a faithful partner of European institutions, a coordinator of actions in each member country. The success of the Saint James Way will only continue if the path keeps its authenticity and if walkers can find genuine information in a single place. Wherever he is in the world, whatever his motivation for doing the path, the walker should be able to find information in every language.
