Common  Gut  Irritants:   -‐  Grains  /  unsprouted  especially  gluten-‐containing  grains   -‐  Conven6onal  Cow's  Milk  -‐  contains  A1  casein  which  irritates  the  gut  and  causes  inflamma6on. Human  milk,  goat's  milk,  sheep's  milk  does  not  contain  A1  casein Grains  should  be  consumed  only  in  sprouted  form  or  a  true  sourdough  bread.   Raw  goat's  milk  or  sheep's  milk  cheese  are  okay.   Best  Superfoods  to  Reverse  Diabetes  1.    Broccoli  -‐  high  in  chromium  which  balances  GTF  (Glucose  Tolerance  Factor) 2.      Raw  Goat's  Milk  /  sheep's  milk  cheese 3.    Grassfed  Beef 4.    High  Fiber  foods  -‐  avacados,  vegetables,  nuts  and  seeds  (especially  hemp,  chia,  and  flax   seeds) 5.  Coconut  oil  and  coconut  products

Dr.  Axe  does  not  recommend  coffee  because  it  can  deplete  the  body  of  essen6al  nutrients.   Tulsi  tea  is  a  healthy  alterna6ve  made  from  the    Holy  Basil  plant  which  is  a  adaptogenic  herb   and  can  help  blood  sugar.   Alcohol  is  not  beneficial.    Once  the  body  is  healthy,  some  alcohol  can  be  tolerated  in  low   modera6on,  but  should  be  eliminated  ini6ally. Milk  thistle  is  an  herb  that  helps  to  detoxify  the  liver  and  supports  the  glutathione  levels  which   helps  insulin  response. Supplements  to  Consider Chromium Omega  3  Fish  Oil   Alpha  Lipoic  Acid? Fiber  through  chia  or  flax  seeds   Cinnamon  -‐  1  teaspoon  in  smoothie Magnesium Green  coffee  extract Biter?  Melon Burst  Fit  -‐  interval  training  is  an  ideal  exercise  for  blood  sugar  control.    Exercise  like  a  sprinter   rather  than  like  a  marathon  runner.   Interval  training  with  short,  high  intensity  intervals  is  the  best  way  to  burn  fat  and  balance  blood   sugar.    Burst?  Fit  is  a  high  intensity,  low  impact  so  its  actually  good  for  the  joints. -‐  40  seconds  on  at  90%  of  maximum  and  20  seconds  off.   -‐  pushups,  situps,  squats,  lunges,  etc.

Be  careful  with  protein  powders-‐  many  of  them  are  made  with  inferior  ingredients  that  lead  to   gut  inflamma6on. Grass-‐fed,  naturally  processed  whey  protein  concentrate  is  a  good  op6on.    Goat's  milk  protein  is   also  an  excellent  choice.     Vegetable  oil,  like  canola  oil,  safflower,  corn  oil  and  soybean  oil  are  inflammatory  and  irritate  the   gut.      (80%  of  protein  powders  do  more  harm  than  good.   The  best  fat  for  blood  sugar  regula6on  is  coconut  oil.    It  is  the  easiest  fat  to  burn  for  energy.    It   only  requires  a  three  step  process,  where  olive  oil  and  the  other  long  chain  fats  require  over  20   steps  to  convert  the  fat  to  energy.       Next  best  is  raw,  organic  grass-‐fed  buPer,  then  extra  virgin  olive  oil.
