Introduction Current residents will have the ability to select their Fall 2015-Spring 2016 room assignment online. This process is known as Returning Resident Room Selection. rd

Room Selection will start on February 3 and residents will be able to complete the Room Selection process during their designated time. The Room Selection timeline is available at www.uwf.edu/housing.

Before Room Selection Occurs 1.

Apply for Housing a. You must apply for housing by submitting the Housing Contract. In MyUWF search for “Housing Contracts and Services” to locate the Housing Contract. The application fee is $25 for returning residents.

Talk to Your Current Roommate(s) and Future Roommate(s) a. If you decide to live with friends you will need their first name, last name, birth date (MM/DD/YYYY) and Roommate PIN to select them as a roommate. The Roommate PIN is discussed on page 2 of this guide.

3.

Know When You Can Select Your Room a. Refer to the Room Selection timeline which is located online at www.uwf.edu/housing to find your time. You can view your student classification for the General Room Selection Process in MyUWF by searching for “Housing Contracts and Services.”

Returning Resident Room Selection Guide Roommate PIN Roommate groups must select a roommate group leader. The roommate group leader will book all the room assignments for everyone is his/her group. All group members must give the group leader their first name, last name, birth date (MM/DD/YYYY), and Roommate PIN. The group leader does not need a Roommate PIN. Roommate group members log into MyUWF, search for “Housing Contracts and Services,” and click on “Create Your Roommate PIN.”

On the next screen, create a Roommate PIN that is between four and ten numbers. If you forget your Roommate PIN, return the screen to reset it. Housing staff cannot see or reset your Roommate PIN.

Share your Roommate PIN with your roommate group leader.

Returning Resident Room Selection Guide Room Retention (February 3-4) The Room Retention process is for residents who want to stay in the exact same room assignment and will not add a new roommate. If you are in a suite or apartment and want to move to a different bedroom within your current suite or apartment, you should do the General Room Selection process. a. Room Retention is only available to current Village East, Village West, Pace, Southside, Heritage, and Presidents residents. Log into MyUWF, search for “Housing Contracts and Services,” and click on “Room Retention.” After you click on the “Room Retention” button you will see the screen below, if you are eligible to retain your room assignment.

Click the “Lock” button to lock your room assignment.

You will have one minute to click the “Finish” button, which will book your room.

Returning Resident Room Selection Guide Roommate Pull In (February 5-6) The Roommate Pull In process is for residents who want to stay in the exact same room assignment and will add a new roommate. If you are in a suite or apartment and want to move to a different bedroom within your current suite or apartment, you should do the General Room Selection process. a. Current Village East, Village West, Pace, Southside, Heritage, and Presidents residents can pull in any resident on campus to their room, suite, or apartment. Log into MyUWF, search for “Housing Contracts and Services,” and click on “Roommate Pull In.” After you click on the “Roommate Pull In” button you will see the screen below, if you are eligible to retain your room assignment and pull in a new roommate.

Click the “Lock” button to lock your room assignment.

You will have one minute to click the “Next” button, which will allow you to pull in roommates.

Enter your roommate’s first name, last name, and birth date. Click search and enter your roommate’s PIN. Click “Select” and repeat the process as desired.

Use the drop down boxes to place your roommate(s) in their desired room assignment. Click the “Finish” button to complete the process.

Returning Resident Room Selection Guide Delphi to Oracle (February 10-11) Delphi (Martin Hall) residents have a priority room selection time to choose a room in Presidents Hall, home of the Oracle program. Log into MyUWF, search for “Housing Contracts and Services,” and click on “Delphi to Oracle.” After you click on the “Delphi to Oracle” button you will see the screen below, if you are eligible to for the process.

You may select roommates or bypass this step by clicking the “Next” button. To add roommates, click on the green cross symbol. Enter your roommate’s first name, last name, and birth date. Click search and enter your roommate’s PIN. Click “Select” and repeat the process as desired.

Returning Resident Room Selection Guide Delphi to Oracle (continued) Select the floor you would like to live on by using the search option on the left. Choose a room assignment by clicking on any green bed icon.

Use the drop down boxes to place you and any roommate(s) in your desired room assignments. Click the “Finish” button to complete the process.

Returning Resident Room Selection Guide General Room Selection (Graduate students, seniors, & juniors start on February 12) The General Room Selection (GRS) process allows students to book a room assignment anywhere on campus where they are eligible to live. Log into MyUWF, search for “Housing Contracts and Services,” and click on the appropriate button for your classification (e.g. “Sophomores”). After you click on the appropriate button you will see the screen below, if you are eligible for the process.

You may select roommates or bypass this step by clicking the “Next” button. To add roommates, click on the green cross symbol. Enter your roommate’s first name, last name, and birth date. Click search and enter your roommate’s PIN. Click “Select” and repeat the process as desired.

Returning Resident Room Selection Guide General Room Selection (continued) Select the building you would like to live in by using the map or the options on the left. Use the map to choose your desired floor. If applicable you will choose a foyer side (Southside only) or a hall wing (Pace only).

Choose a room assignment by clicking on any green bed icon.

Occupied Bed spaces If a bed space has already been booked by another student, the bed icon will become red. You may click a red bed icon to view the first name, major, and roommate preference answers of the person who has booked the room.

Frequently Asked Questions After I book a room how do I view my room assignment? You may view your room assignment in MyUWF by searching for “Housing Contracts and Services.” Why can’t I find my roommate in the roommate search box? Be sure you are spelling your roommate’s name correctly. You must also use the MM/DD/YYYY format when entering your roommate’s birth date. How do I change my room assignment after I book it? You must contact the assignments staff in the Housing Central Office by emailing us at [email protected]. What are Delphi and Oracle? Delphi is a living learning community for first-year students in Martin Hall. Oracle is a living learning community for sophomores and juniors in Presidents Hall. More information about both programs is available at www.uwf.edu/housing on the “Living Learning Communities” tab.
