Conference Overview The Third Annual Regional Perinatal Conference is a robust overview of pain management in the maternal-newborn environment. Topics and discussions include perspectives on pain management and breastfeeding, updates on managing pain in the newborn, options for pain management for laboring women, new information on NAS withdrawal, and pain management for opioid-dependent patients.

Conference Objectives Upon conclusion of this conference, participants should be able to: 1. Identify pain management options for a laboring woman and neonates. 2. Describe clinical interventions to decrease pain throughout the perinatal period.

Nursing Continuing Education Credit This program has been approved for 6.75 contact hours. Women & Infants is an Approved Provider Unit of Continuing Nursing Education by the Northeast Multi-State Division (NE-MSD), an Accredited Approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
