Sharkskin is a technical water sports apparel range that includes 100% Chillproof garments which provide warmth and wind protection, Performance garments which include compression technology to aid in muscle recovery, and Rapid Dry garments which are perfect for summer or layering on top of other Sharkskin garments for extra warmth and sun protection.

SHARKSKIN CHILLPROOF

LONG SLEEVE

An aquatic specific, windproof 3-layer composite material that has been developed for water sports athletes.

By itself or underneath a long sleeve wetsuit this top provides the ultimate protection from cold and wind. It has a soft neoprene neck seal to help keep wind, water, spray and waves from entering. The long sleeves offer additional protection from the cold and sun and the thumb tabs assist when pulling a wetsuit on over the top.

HOW DOES IT WORK? The comfortable ‘micro fleece’ layer is next to the skin and ‘wicks’ moisture and sweat away from the body to help keep you dry. The second middle ‘technical’ layer is 100% windproof yet breathes to regulate body temperature while stopping windchill. The third outer layer is a nylon/lycra blend for abrasion resistance and 4 way stretch. It is also UV resistant for sun protection and has a durable water repellent finish (DWR) to provide a protective shell that ‘sheds’ water. Sharkskin Chillproof is neutrally buoyant, anti-microbial, odour resistant, itch resistant and machine washable.

Large arm sockets and a low-cut neckline protect the body’s core while allowing maximum mobility for strenuous exercise. By itself, under a wetsuit, or with a Rapid Dry as a second layer, this vest gets the job done.

More than 25% of body heat is lost through the head and extremities of the body. The vest with hood design provides the best insulation and protection for colder dives. The hood protects against chaffing from mask straps, keeps your head and ears toasty warm, and is flexible enough to slide off if required, while still remaining comfortable.

The 1 piece suit provides full body protection from cold, sun and marine stingers. It can be used under an existing wetsuit for extra warmth or can completely replace your wetsuit in warmer waters. It is less buoyant than neoprene so you need less weight, making you more comfortable when snorkeling or diving.

Great as a standalone garment and also suitable for under a wetsuit. The long sleeve design with an inbuilt hood provides the best protection for extreme conditions on or under the water.

The undergarment is primarily designed for use under a Drysuit for colder waters. The front entry zip makes the suit easy to get on and off, with the men’s version including a convenient 2-way comfort zip. The Chillproof material provides warmth and insulation and the windproof membrane keeps you extra warm during surface intervals.

LONGPANTS AND SHORTPANTS

These 100% Chillproof pants are equally suitable teamed up with a top, under a Drysuit, or by themselves for kayaking. They are cut with a high rear waist for comfort and warmth, provide protection from chaffing when dry and peace of mind knowing that if you do get wet you will still be warm. Chillproof pants can be worn in combination with all other Sharkskin garments.

This high performance, breathable cap has fold down side flaps for extra protection against the sun and bright colours for visibility on the ocean.

SHARKSKIN CLIMATE CONTROL Climate Control has all the same features as the Chillproof garments with the added benefit of the addition of a heavy-duty zipper. This allows you to control the amount of heat you keep in by adjusting the zipper to suit the conditions.

LONG SLEEVE This top is made from Chillproof material with an inbuilt radiator function. It provides the ultimate versatility by being able to zip up for 100% warmth and protection, or zip down when the sun comes out or your work rate goes up. It also has a high collar to keep your neck warm.

SHARKSKIN RAPID DRY Rapid Dry is a lightweight, fast drying fabric in which the unwoven yarn is infused with a water repellent treatment (WRT). This method achieves a finish that is vastly more effective at shedding water and lasts much longer than traditional fabric treatments. The Rapid Dry fabric is warmer than cotton and nylon/lycra synthetic fabrics when wet. It has an SPF50+ rating for full sun protection, is lightweight and breathable and is chlorine resistant.

LONG SLEEVE & SHORT SLEEVE The Rapid Dry tops are cut in a stylish loose fit T-shirt design making them comfortable for everyday use as well as on the water. The designs use Chillproof material for full protection from the elements, flexible compression material to allow for maximum manoeuvrability during intense sport and neoprene for stretch and comfort. The different designs use heavy-duty zippers to control heat retention and mesh panels for ventilation to allow for maximum performance as weather conditions change or as your heart rate climbs.

PRO LONG SLEEVE This top is designed for intense water sports where hard work is the priority and results are the focus. The full-torso compression fabric design means you receive maximum benefit to all muscle groups for endurance and muscle recovery. Mesh ‘ventilation’ panels provide added breathability for extra intense sessions on the water. Available in high-vis orange/black.

It also uses a breathable compression fabric in the shoulders and arms to aid in endurance and muscle recovery. PADDLING LONGPANTS AND SHORTPANTS These pants use a Chillproof/Neoprene hybrid design to provide maximum fit and mobility for watersports. Neoprene panels in the seat area and over the front of the thigh and knee area provide more comfort for extended periods of sitting, more stretch for a better fit and protection from cold water splashes. The high rear waist provides comfort and warmth when in a seated position.
