Mixing valve selection In the left-hand diagram, select the heat requirement in kW (20kW in this example) and move upwards to 5,00 5,00 the desired spread (e.g.: 20 K). Now draw a horizontal line to the right-hand diagram and select the lowest Cv value corresponding to your pressure drop. The pressure drop should lie within the shaded area between 3 kPa and 15 kPa.
