CLIMATE CHANGE - DESERTIFICATION

The poster was done in collaboration with a sustainability class at Vanier. We had to inform students about different environmental issues and my job was to create a poster that would portray one of our problems. When you hear the word desertification you picture the dry dead land. Trying to think out of the box I decided to illustrate people instead. The posters were showcased in the entrance of the Vanier College. It received the most positive feedback from the students and staff.

BRANDING

VPSN - VANIER PEER SUPPORT NETWORK

This branding project includes a logo, posters, business cards, letterhead, envelope, application guides, a website, hoodies, etc. I chose two people holding hands to show the support and care. The logo is a little curved at the bottom to show that anyone can use the peer support services. This was a challenging project because of the scope of it but it was used successfully within the college.

VPSN - VANIER PEER SUPPORT NETWORK

The main purpose of this website is to inform the students about the program as well as provide online peer support using the chat widget. The website was done using Wordpress. It has a simplistic look and is very easy to navigate. It is responsive and can be viewed using any kind of device. The website has Google Analytics that helps to track the visits.

BOOK COVER CATCHER IN THE RYE

Catcher in the Rye is one of my favourite novels and it was a challenge to make a cover that would represent the novel. Almost all the existing book covers had the same features so trying to be original was difficult. The buildings represent the city of New York and the dark background symbolizes the mood of the novel.

SINGLE PAGE APPLICATION WHAT GLASSES SUIT YOU? The main idea of this website was to showcase what type of glasses you need based on your face type. This kind of website would be ideal for all stores that sell eyewear because it has a unique feature and it makes user interaction more engaging. This project was done in a team of three people.

BRILA - WHAT IS LEADERSHIP ZINE

During the summer internship I was responsible of the design for their book that showcases all the work kids have done throughout the camp. The main focus of the month was leadership. The cover page illustrated a leader with a team following behind. The zine was published in the main website of the camp using Adobe Muse.

ANNUAL REPORT MOISSON MONTREAL

The purpose of any annual report is to show what the company has done over one year. Moissan Montreal is a food bank and their purpose is to provide food for the community. I enjoyed working on their annual report. The challenge was to fit in all the text and make it readable. Contrast was achieved through diffferent font sizes and colours.

OBESITY - WHO SUFFERS THE MOST AND WHY?

This two-page statistical report was designed to showcase the problem of obesity and its possible solution. The first page has a big image that explains the spread itself. I used bright yellow colour as it stands out the most.

BILLBOARD AD PORTER AIRLINE

This ad campaign was done for Porter. The objective was to make something original and creative that would stand out. The message on the billboard uses a play on words. Since Porter’s flights from Montreal to Toronto are one hour the message is “Don’t complain, take hour plane” instead of “our”.

VERTIGES AND TEMPO EXHIBITION

This design won the best poster competition at school. The purpose of the poster was to encourage Vanier College students to attend this event. The poster was displayed everywhere on campus as well as on the Vanier website and in social media.

SINGLE PARENT SCHOLARSHIP

This form was created for a scholarship that I created for students who are single parents or were raised by a single parent. My inspiration was my mother, who raised me all by herself and managed to give me a wonderful life. A lot of Vanier college students are single parents who struggle daily to raise their children. The scholarship was worth $6 000 and it was distributed among six students.

As a huge tea addict, I know the importance of perfect tea preparation. This user guide was designed for customers who are not familiar with matcha tea making process. With step-by-step illustration it makes easy to navigate through the guide and prepare the perfect tea.

ARMENIAN GENOCIDE AWARENESS DAY

The poster was designed for the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Being Armenian, I felt it was my duty to commemorate the tragic events of 1915 and do something on campus that would teach Vanier students about this part of the history and my culture. Its purpose was to inform students about the event on campus. The big flower is called forget-me-not which is a symbol of the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. It is minimalistic and highly informative. The color balance makes it stand out. Overall, I got a great feedback from everyone who attended including several reporters from local newspapers.

AD CAMPAIGN AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL

This campaign showcases an 18-year-old model Madeline Stuart who has a Down syndrome. She is known for her great attitude and fiery red hair. The tagline I used is “Down Syndrome won’t stop me from my dream” and the purpose of the campaign is to break the stigma associated with mental health. You can be suffering from mental disability and be a model at the same time. There are three posters that each have a different photo and taglines. I used the Amnesty International logo and yellow for the brand recognition.

STUDENT AGENDA VANIER COLLEGE

Vanier College is a multicultural college that has a variety of different programs. The cover page of this agenda illustrated that. There are five different students (including myself in the middle) who come from different backgrounds and study in different fields. The overall challenge of the project was to make it attractive to students of all ages and all interests and make the information stand out. 6000 copies were distributed to the students.The back cover of the agenda has a very simple design and illustrates the logo of the college and its iconic red branding.

MONTREAL MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS

The purpose of this work was to help museum visitors navigate through the different sections of the permanent collection. Each collection has a spread where six art works are shown. The guide is created in both English and French.
