Budget Manager 2014 System Requirements Prerequisites Since PROFITstar® Budget Manager is a Web-hosted application; an active connection to the Internet is required for each machine that will be used to access it. In addition, the Microsoft® Silverlight™ 4.0 (or later) plugin is required. If it is not installed, the user will be prompted through a quick installation on first use.

Budget Manager “Admin” Machine Requirements For Budget Manager administrative users, who will be accessing both the PROFITstar and Budget Manager applications, the higher of the two sets of client machine requirements will apply. Note: The PROFITstar® and/or PROFITability® programs must be able to access the Internet from all “Admin” machines.

Other Considerations Firewall Issues: When the Hosted Budget Manger is accessed, either through a browser or from the PROFITstar client during the Export or Import processes, industry standard ports are used. These ports are 80 (http:) for text and 443 (https:) for secure connections. To be able to perform the Export or Import processes from PROFITstar® or PROFITability®, the PS.exe and PA.exe files need to be given access to port 443 (https:). Proxy Server Issues: Institutions that utilize a proxy server and integrated authentication may have to add a rule on their proxy server to allow the PS.exe and PA.exe files to connect to the Budget Manager URL.

Optimizer 2013 – Standard and Large Server Prerequisites Optimizer requires two available servers that are running the Windows Server® 2008 R2 operating system and are joined to a Microsoft® Active Directory® domain. Other servers may be required to house complementary applications, such as Relationship Profitability Management™ (RPM) and PROFITstar®. The Host should contain 2 NICs for standard servers and 4 NICs for large servers. All NICs must be attached to the network to provide satisfactory performance. The machine purpose, description, and requirements, for both standard and large server configurations, are provided on the following pages.
