5th Annual Snow Hike was held at Malam Jabba on 7th February, 2016

A prestigious ceremony to award the President Gold Medals was held at NHQ PBSA on 21st February. Ms. Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani Chief Commissioner PBSA and S pe aker Balochistan Assembly was the Chief Guest of the ceremony. 67 Gold Medallist Shaheens / Scouts / Rovers received the Awards as per given numbers: - Shaheen - 23Nos (Year2010-12) - Boy Scouts - 23 Nos (Year 2010-12) - Rover Scouts - 21 Nos (Year 2010-12) Addressing on the occasion, the Chief Guest congratulated the Gold Medallists for their achievement and expected their very positive role for the growth of Scout Movement. Members National Council PBSA, veteran scout leaders and some of the parents of the awardees also attended the ceremony.

Scout Leader Course in collaboration with Pakistan Red Crescent was organized at National Headquarters, Islamabad for the Executives / Volunteers of Pak. Red Crescent from 23-29 February, 2016 at National Headquarters, PBSA, Islamabad.

80 male and 20 female participants participated in this course. The objectives of the Course were: To enable the officials of Pakistan Red Crescent to form Scout Units / Groups in different areas of the country under the supervision of Pakistan Red Crescent. -

Closing Ceremony was held on 29th Feb, 2016 at NHQ, PBSA, Islamabad. Senior Deputy Chief Commissioner, PBSA Hafiz Tariq Mahmood was the Chief Guest. Dr. Rizwan Naseer, Secretary General, PRC, Mr. Zahid Mahboob, Secretary, PBSA, Qazi Zahoor ul Hassan, former Secretary, PBSA, Prof. Abdul Hayee Sheikh, Commissioner, Friends of Scouting, PBSA, Mr. Reto Sticker, HOD ICRC, Mr. Michael Myers, Cooperation Delegate, ICRC, Higher Management and Representatives of PRC were also present during the Closing Ceremony. At the end, Participation Certificates were awarded to the participants of the Course.

SOLAR EXHIBITION FOR THE PARTICIPANTS OF SCOUT LEADER TRAINING COURSE Pakistan Boy Scouts Association organized a Scout Leader Training Course at NHQ from 23 to 29 February 2016 for 101 officials of Pakistan Red Crescent. Participants were introduced the history and development of the SgS project. They were provided the opportunity to go through a solar exhibition and observe the use of solar energy as an alternate source of energy.
