ON SITE

Independent Market Report states Nicholson’s On Site Service is “Second to None”

GRP Sectional Tanks are extremely rugged but light to handle, which makes it ideal for use on sites with restricted access and for shipment into the most inaccessible areas of the world using the most basic means of transport. Assembly is simple and quick, requiring only handtools and the minimum of skilled labour.

Our fully trained operatives work full time only on our behalf throughout the UK. They are there to respond to our customers demands, any changes in site requirements being immediately Nicholson’s success comes

responded to. On occasion we will use our own trusted sub-

from working alongside their

contractors who again are fully trained in erection of Nicholson

customers where it counts.

PRE-INSULATED PANELS The Nic-Cool Insulated Panel The cost-effective solution

To meet the growing need for tanks that comply with the latest water bylaws and health needs, NP offers a thermally insulated panel to assist in prevention of water temperature rise or fall dependant on site conditions. This has obvious advantages in the control of bacterial growth such as Legionella.

Smooth and attractive exterior surface.

No more squeezing into tight spaces to fit insulation jackets.

No costs for insulation removal during maintenance, no need for yet another sub-contractor.

The polyurethane foam is CFC-free and has a U value of 0.6W/m2/°C. It is encapsulated between the panel and a GRP outer skin which has a smooth exterior surface with uniform colour throughout.

Solid and durable exterior.

Completely waterproof for external use.

No more condensation nightmares.

Combating the growth of bacteria such as Legionella.

Pre-insulation is available on all panels in a range of thicknesses.

The Accessories we offer are constantly being reviewed and updated. The message is, if in doubt ask us, we may be able to help.

BYLAW 30 COVERS The rigorous specifications of today’s marketplace cannot be ignored. If you have a water tank which needs to be brought up to Bylaw 30 standard, it may well be the case that the tank itself is still in fairly good condition. Nicholsons can offer the supply of pre-insulated covers with screened vents to your required dimensions and fully compliant with Bylaw 30/WRAS. So give your local Nicholson branch a call, tell them what you need and let Nicholsons do the rest.

NICHOLSON PLASTICS LTD The Sectional Knock-Down Tank The KD Range The new range of lightweight knock-down (KD) tanks from Nicholson Plastics provides specifiers and contractors with an attractive alternative for water storage in the small to medium size range. Manufactured in glass-reinforced polyester, the tanks have an integral foam core which provides advanced insulation qualities to guard against condensation. Normally sectional tanks to hold between 350 and 4500 litres are constructed using standard sections manufactured primarily for tanks many times larger, resulting in a product which is over-designed and expensive.

CLOSE-UP OF TIE-ROD ANCHOR POINT

Only Six Panels NP’s new KD range uses only six panels (four sides, base and cover) to construct each tank. These panels are taken from a range of 16 standard panel sizes. This enables clients to fit new or replacement tanks (of a similar size and capacity) in areas of limited access.

Integrally Moulded Foam Core A major advantage of the unique manufacturing method is the production of a composite panel that is not only light in weight for easy handling, but at the same time is strong and robust. This removes the need for external steel corsetry. The major design advantage in the KD range is the integral foam insulation core, which is incorporated into the panels during manufacture and extends to the very edge of the flange, ensuring a uniform insulation. The foam core is CFC and HCFC-free, giving zero ozone depletion, and is approved under the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM).

Smooth, Flat Finish The tank panels have a moulded gel coat surface finish, giving the erected tank internal and external surfaces that are smooth, flat and crevice-free, providing a more hygienic and easy-to-clean product. This makes NP tanks especially suitable for locations such as hospitals and clinics.

Shrink-wrapped, Easy to Handle An added advantage to the concept of a six-panel tank is the ease of shipping. The six tank panels are delivered shrink-wrapped together as a complete kit, including nuts, bolts and sealant. They are simple to assemble and ideal for export.
