PARISH MINISTRY FAIR Saturday & Sunday, October 19 & 20 Guild Hall We are planning a “Parish Ministry Fair” following the Saturday evening and Sunday morning Masses at Saint Mary of the Lake. Stop by to learn about the many organizations that make up our Parish and see if you’d like to participate in their good works. We hope to have every society, organization and ministry of the parish to display their group’s mission and seek new members. (And in the spring of 2014, we plan to repeat the Fair over at Holy Family Chapel.) The Parish Council is organizing this Ministry Fair and the St. Vincent de Paul Society is providing the light refreshments.

Polish Language Much of what our parish provides in services is duplicated but in Polish for the Polish-speaking people in our region of the state. Fr. Marion could use help in the Polish-language liturgies he offers as well as with sacramental preparation. Additionally all are invited to participate in or help run: • Polish School • Polish Hand Ball League • Polish Dance

The following is the list of ministries and organizations at our parish. If we missed yours… Sorry! Please let us know! Liturgical Ministries: • Sacramental Ministries provided by parish priests and deacons • Lectors • Eucharistic Ministers o distributers at Masses and Sacristans o to the Hospital o to Nursing Homes (also leading Communion Services) o to the Homebound • Eucharistic Adoration • Consolation Ministry (Funeral Planning) • Altar Servers (youth at Sunday Masses and adults helping with Funerals and daily Masses) • Music (Cantors, choirs, musicians) • Baptismal Ceremony Set-up • Baptismal Prep • Wedding Prep • Annulment Advocates • Ushers

FATHER-SON DINNER “The Role of the Father in the Family and Our World” – celebrating the wonders of the father and son relationship with reflection by Dan Duddy, Pastoral Minister of Athletics Sunday, October 20, 6 PM Church of Epiphany All Purpose Room 615 Thiele Road, Brick $5 per person

MINISTRY FAIR TV RAFFLE The Ministry Fair isn’t exclusively a drive for volunteers, it’s also a community building event as our parishioners come together and talk to each other and share their work and experience of being a parish family. As a fun way to encourage fuller participation in the Ministry Fair among everyone coming out to Mass that weekend, we’ll be holding prize drawings for two flat screen TVs.

Dinner open to fathers, sons, grandsons, grandfathers, uncles, nephews, etc. Children should be 10 years of age or older. For reservations, call John Crosio at 732 840-0091.

MASS INTENTIONS FOR 2014 Requests for Mass intentions for 2014 will take place during the whole month of November. Because of the large number of requests for intentions, we will still keep the same limitations that we had last year.

As you come to visit the tables staffed by representatives of all our ministries and organizations, you’ll be able to pick up tickets for prize drawings and then you’ll place those tickets in a container for the drawing.

All intentions are for deceased individuals announced by their first and last name. Since the parish now automatically schedules a ‘month’s mind’ and anniversary intention for those who have recently died, we will send any extra intentions that come in for that deceased person to the missions. Any other intention requests will be collected during the month of November and then scheduled as best as we can, casting lots if there are conflicts. It is not a first-come, first-served policy. Everyone is limited to two Masses. You may include more than one person for a particular Mass.

Thanks to the Knights of Columbus and a cash donor for providing the TVs.

O GODZINIE

A ja?
