OTR was a great addition to the series and the crowd absolutely loved you guys! It’s always great to see so many people singing along to the songs, dancing, and just having a great time! You made Thursday night fun! I must say besides playing great music, the band as a whole was so nice to work with! Thank you for being flexible on the sound issues, and helping us keep our park neighbors happy. Thank you!! Thanks again for a wonderful concert. Hope OTR enjoyed playing in Cupertino as much as we all enjoyed having you!" Kelsey Hayes, City of Cupertino Parks and Recreation "You guys were amazing! Our wedding guests kept commenting on how fantastic the band was, and everyone (young and old) had such a good time dancing and listening to your music. You all were so professional, considerate, and totally ROCKIN! Thanks for being a part of our magical evening...We couldn't think of a better group to rock the house at our wedding, and would pick you again in a heartbeat!" Diana and Steven Neebe, Mountain View, CA "We were absolutely thrilled to have OTR play our Burlingame Music in the Park concert series. They had everyone dancing and singing along! The crowd insisted on an encore and OTR gave one with much enthusiasm. We will definitely look for them to play our next Summer concert series!" Jaime Parres, City of Burlingame Parks and Recreation "OTR put on a great show at California’s Great America for 96.5 KOIT. Their set list was perfectly tailored to the occasion and the radio station. Great to work with such a talented band who ‘brings on the fun." Jude Heller, Marketing Director, Entercom SF “It was lovely to have all of you out there last night, and last week at Music in the Park! Thanks for always putting on a great show - we love working with you guys!” Sharon Kenney, Marketing Director, KFOX 98.5 "It's been a week since OTR performed at my 50th birthday party and I am still getting asked where I found the band because they were the best band ever! You had everyone from my kids in their 20s to my 70+ year old tennis partners rocking on the dance floor! Thanks you guys, for making it such a fun party for everyone!” Michele Peterson, Pleasanton, CA “OTR are wonderful musicians with a great sound. You will have a great time!” Steve Austin, Holy Family Parish Festival entertainment coordinator “As a music-loving ‘Baby-Boomer’ and still an occasional, though mediocre, guitar ‘picker’ myself, I have a particular appreciation of the superb musicality of OTR both in it's instrumentation and harmonious crooning of a variety of tunes -- focusing, primarily, on music from "my" generation. The band's repertoire, moves even the most die-hard wallflower out of his seat and onto the dance floor. Fellow music devotees will not want to miss a performance by OTR!” Roger Brandon, San Jose, CA “OTR puts on a great show playing the rock ‘n roll classics that make you want to dance. You can find th OTR and your dancing shoes at the Rose, White and Blue 4 of July Parade festival here on The Alameda in San Jose.” Larry Clark, Parade Organizer

OTR – Band History The band originally formed in 2002 when long-time friends Phil Griego and Peter Filice came together with several other musicians. The band had their first public appearance at a San Jose Exchange Club fundraiser for underprivileged kids — an event they have repeated every year since then. Craig Martin on drums joined the band in 2006, Megan Gluhan on vocals and keyboards arrived in 2007, and last but not least Dave Gundacker rounded out the band as lead guitarist in 2008. The band is constantly adding new material, focusing on rock n' roll and R&B dance music from the 70’s to today’s latest hits with our own unique interpretation. In November 2009, the band was named the Best Cover Band in the KFOX Last Band Standing competition, and was first runner-up in the 2010 competition also. Rock on! www.facebook.com/otrband

Band Members

Craig Martin, drums & percussion Craig (a/k/a “The Animal”) began his professional career at the age of 16 playing night clubs at night and going to High School by day. During the formative years he had the opportunity to gig with such artists as Robyn Trower, Lydia Pense, Snail, Y&T, Traffic, Stoneground, Helix, Icon, Long John Baldry, The Tubes and many other artists. During that period (80’s) he recorded an album with MIRAGE, toured Canada, and the United States. In the 90’s Craig played with Rukus, a very busy cover band, and sat in for other bands needing assistance. He was also a session drummer for Soundtec Studios playing all styles of music. In the 2000’s he has been a freelance player with many varied artists playing blues, rock, Latin, drumming for plays, vocal ensembles, church groups and teaching.

Dave Gundacker, lead guitar and vocals Dave (a/k/a “Dr. D”) grew up in Anchorage and at 16 began playing guitar after playing drums in school since he was 10. At 19, he and his brother joined a band called Hydra. Hydra quickly released a three-song demo that was entered in a homegrown album contest that won. Two years later at 21, Dave’s band Hydra got a chance to open for Jefferson Starship in a new stadium that was sold out and held 10,000 people. Dave wrote all the music for Hydra. Hydra also opened for Eddie Money and Blue Oyster Cult. A few years later in Alaska, Dave met a new lead singer, moved down to San Jose and started a band called Nvs. Dave also entered a guitar competition, in which he placed 3rd out of 90 guitar players, for which Dave received a full endorsement from Jackson Guitars and Dean Markley guitar strings. Nvs became a local hit in San Jose and opened for a number of big bands like Mr. Big, Y&T, Lita Ford, Don Dokken, and others. Dave likes to joke that he wrote every song that OTR performs... and who knows, it could even be true!

Megan Gluhan, keyboard & vocals Megan (a/k/a “Bango”) started playing the piano at age 5. And five short years later, when St. Patrick's Church in Watsonville was desperate for a pianist, Megan was booked for her very first gig! From there Megan started playing for the Moreland Notre Dame School masses, and then weekend liturgies thanks to the encouragement of her music teacher, Leslie Henderson. More encouragement came from Fr. Matt Pennington, who got Megan to first start singing about 5 years ago at San Agustin Church in Scotts Valley. Fr. Matt convinced Megan to do a duet with him on Holy Thursday in front of the Bishop! When Megan discovered she could sing, it inspired her to start writing music for the Catholic Church. Since then Megan has written over 30 songs, many written with the help of her silent writing partner Jan Smith. Megan is currently the Music Teacher and Music Director for Holy Spirit School & Church in Almaden Valley. It's a dream position because she gets to use her gifts and talents and love of music to serve God!

Peter Filice, rhythm guitars & vocals Peter (a/k/a “Pedro Capo”) has been playing and performing for over 35 years in bands and liturgical music groups in the Bay Area. He has eclectic tastes in music and enjoys listening to everything from classical to grunge. He is constantly working on increasing his guitar collection, currently standing at five acoustic and electric guitars. He has also been known to be a fierce competitor in karaoke, singing and drinking many Asian business associates under the table and winning an "American Idol" style karaoke competition on a cruise ship in 2006. Peter's day job is in sales at the world’s #1 Software Company -- and no, I don't mean Microsoft (think large yachts and the Oakland Arena...ding ding ding)

Phil Griego, bass, harmonica, & vocals Guitarist Phil (a/k/a "Philibuster") Griego, has been playing music since his first garage band days at age 14 in the high desert of Antelope Valley California. His passion for music never wavered throughout his scholastic career when he moved to San Jose to attend San Jose State University and then Santa Clara School of law. Music is the right brain balance to his day job as a lawyer in downtown San Jose, specializing in labor relations disputes.
