Notes • Asian Divisions will be for the Asian players only. However, we encourage Asian teams to participate in the International divisions. The International Open Tier I is open for all teams. Players will not be allowed to play down in lower divisions. • Players playing in the Asian Divisions may play in the International Divisions. Division format will be determined by the final number of teams. We may need to combine divisions if necessary.

Team Logo’s and Team Profiles - All teams must submit team profiles and team logo’s by October 01, 2016.



Game Rules and Regulations of the Tournament will be forwarded to the participating teams with the tournament schedule before October 01, 2016.



Registration due & team fee due date September 01, 2016. PreBookings for the tournament can be made online to reserve a space in the tournament.



Rosters - All players must be submitted before October 01, 2016. (Roster forms will be sent out to all the teams by August 01, 2016 or you can fill out online).

Sponsorship Rights/Team Jersey Eligibility Tournament Organizers reserves the right to regulate team jerseys. Team jerseys may not have any sponsors which conflict with the tournament sponsors. For example, a team wanted to wear Beer Chang jerseys but the main sponsor was Beer Singha. Please contact the tournament organizer if you have any questions.

Tournament Format of Divisions If the number of entries are low in any division less than 3 teams, the organizers may consolidate these teams into another division. The organizers will try their best to have a Tier system to keep the games as competitive as possible. As tournament organizers we would encourage any Asian teams to participate in the International Divisions.

FAQ’s Frequently Asked Questions 1. Is the rink a regular size ice surface? A: Yes the rink is a regular size ice surface. The rink dimensions are similar to the NHL standards. The new arena has glass all around the rink. 2. How far is the rink from downtown Bangkok/Hotel area? A: “The Rink” at Central Plaza Rama IX is located along MRT line and is two stops from the downtown area. This years tournament hotel will be announced by May 01, 2016. 3. What is the best way to get to the Rink? A: The best route to “The Rink” Central Plaza Rama IX is by the MRT line. If you are staying downtown go the BTS station Asoke and take the MRT line to Phra Ram 9 or Rama 9. The MRT line at Asoke is called Sukhumvit and take this two stops to Phra Ram 9. The mall will be on your right hand side when you exit the station.

FAQ’s Frequently Asked Questions 4. Are there showers at the ice rink and can we store our gear overnight there? A: Yes there are showers at the ice center. At this time we can’t guarantee storage at the rink. 5. Is the ice rink in a shopping mall? A: The ice rink is located in a shopping center. The Central mall is a higher end shopping mall with lots of stores and restaurants. It also has a fitness center, move theaters and entertainment center for kids. 6. When does our team have to arrive to the tournament? A: We would like to see all teams fly in no later than October 25. Due to the amount of teams participating this year we have planned to start Tuesday evening. Please be prepared to start on Wednesday and we will need teams to play Tuesday night as well.

FAQ’s Continued 7. When will the schedule of the games and the full details of activities schedule for the tournament become available? A: The schedule will be out by no later than September 20. If we can confirm all teams early than the schedule will become available at an even earlier date. All tournament activities will be available prior to October 10. We will be planning a special post-game party/banquet Saturday Night. 8. Will there be water available for our team during the games? A: Yes all water will be provided for the teams throughout the tournament.

9. What if my wife and kids are coming to the tournament is there anything to do for them in Bangkok? A: Yes Bangkok offers many fun activities for the family. Please let us know if your family will be coming and we can assist them with some ideas and suggestions of where to go and what to do.

FAQ’s Continued 10. Does the ice rink have a Pro Shop? A: Yes the ice rink has a pro shop and also skate sharpening is available. 11. How do I know what Division to enter our team in and what level is the tournament? A: We have the Elite Division for very competitive levels teams with ex professionals or ex collegiate/junior and the Open division for players who are very competitive and played at higher level during their career. The International Recreational we have two divisions one for players/teams whose skill level is quite competitive but don’t have all the horses to compete in the Open division. The other rec division is Men's C or D Level. Most players in this division are novice players and might be a little past their prime but still love the game! We also have two other divisions the Asian Divisions Open and Women’s Division Open. 12. Can we pay after the final deadline date? A: No - payments must be received on or before the deadline. 13. What is the refund Policy? A: There are no refunds unless a state of emergency has been declared in Thailand or any other emergency has caused the tournament to cancel.

Game Format • • •

5 on 5 Play - (5 players plus a goalie)



Games are running time. There will be stop time if the score is within 2 goals or tied in the final 2 minutes of the 3rd period.



During playoffs, if the score is tied after regulation time, a 5 minute sudden death overtime will be played 3 on 3. If still tied after overtime, a 3 player shootout will take place. If still tied after the 3rd shooter, teams will alternate shots until a winner is decided.



For Championship Games - a second 7 minute 3 on 3 sudden death overtime period will be played, followed by a 3 player shootout (if needed)

Each team is allowed one - 30 second time-out in all games

3 minutes of Warm-Up 3 periods of 13 minutes 30 seconds between periods (Depending on # of teams entered)

Teams are advised to have matching socks and a dark and light set of jerseys. Team Standings will be based on - Most Points, Most Wins, Head to Head, Fewest Goals Against, Fewest Penalty Minutes Greater Goal Difference, and Most Goals For, follow by a coin toss.

REGISTRATION PROCESS This year’s tournament will be capped off at 32 teams!! so we will have limited spaces available and therefore we suggest you immediately send in your entry form and registration fee. Complete the Pre-registration Form online or send a copy to the tournament organizer by August 01, 2016.
