The NHS belongs to the people It is there to improve our health and well-being, supporting us to keep mentally and physically well, to get better when we are ill and, when we cannot fully recover, to stay as well as we can to the end of our lives. It works at the limits of science – bringing the highest levels of human knowledge and skill to save lives and improve health. Meetings! Based in a Foundation Trust I am currently constructing a business plan My biggest bug bare! – IT infrastructure within the NHS
Challenges On The Scheme • How do I manage the workload – ‘There's an app for that!’ • Be prepared to put in time at weekends and after work • Completing the competencies – finding a mentor will help with this
I wish someone had told me…. • You don’t have to wear a suit to work! (But I do) • Be humble, even if you think you know the answer, listen.
