New York JFK Airport JetBlue Terminal installation Project description: • 2 data networks for a new 640,000 sq foot terminal. • The terminal will double the number of flights. Customer challenges: •Implementation of a totally redundant data networking system (data, voice & video) to guarantee on-time performance as well as smooth transitioning of people from check-in to take-off. New York JFK Airport – JetBlue Terminal installation

Nexans solutions: • 2 integrated parallel networks, one for voice/data and one for analog CCTV, using Cat5e cabling, interconnected through their redundant fiber optic backbone. • The network will be able to handle the scalable speed, bandwidth and power requirements of the emerging applications.

Sheremetyevo International Airport T3, Moscow Project description: • Develop, finance, design and build the new Terminal 3. • Lead contractors Skanska and Sheremetyevo.

Madrid Airport Luggage Conveying System Project description: • Luggage Conveying System: supply of halogen-free cables and wires for energy supply and control functions. Customer challenges: • Safety requirements: halogen-free, toxically safe and fire-retardant cables. • Flexible cables, suitable for narrow bending radius.

Nexans solutions: • Delivery of 2,100 km of control, safety and special cables to secure power supply and control functions for the luggage conveying system.

Incheon International Airport Project description: • In addition to the MV energy network, installation of fiber optic and copper network cabling solutions, including LANSense Intelligent Infrastructure Management. Customer challenges: • Provide a state-of-the-art data commu- nications infrastructure required to support the Phase 2 expansion project that will enable passenger numbers to increase to 44 million a year.

Incheon International Airport

Nexans solutions: • 860 km of Cat6 copper cable. • 351 km of single mode fiber optic cable (12 to 144 cores) for the airport infrastructure. • 86 km of single mode fiber optic cable for the new airport buildings. • 450 sets of racks. • LANSense Intelligent Infrastructure Management for 22,100 fiber optic nodes and 22,000 Cat6 nodes.

Abu Dhabi International Airport Phase 2 expansion project Project description:

Nexans’ solutions:

• Delivery of airfield lighting cables for phase 2 expansion project: a Crouse Hinds project.

• 1,900 km of primary cable providing power for the lighting transformers.

Customer challenges:

• 770 km of secondary cable that connect the transformers to the airfield lights.

• Construction of a second runway of 4,100 m to welcome larger airplanes (A380,…). • The new mega midfield terminal complex will be capable of handling 20 million passengers a year. Later it will expand up to 50 million passengers.

Abu Dhabi International Airport – Phase 2 expansion project

Beijing Airport New terminal 3 Project description: •Bagage Handling System for Beijing Airport Terminal 3, a Siemens and Inter Roller project. Customer challenges: • Passenger capacity has more than doubled from 30 to 66.5 million passengers per year. • Installation of a bagage handling system capable to sort and transport up to 19,200 bags per hour. • Some 330 check-in counters are connected to a 68 km, high-speed, tray-conveyor system. Bags are transported through at a speed of 36 km/hour to the loading carousels. Beijing Airport – New terminal 3
