OCTOBER 2013: LAUNCH OF EUROPE’S FIRST 11 LNG CITY BUSES IN THE POLISH CITY OF OLSZTYN Public tender for serving bus routes in Olsztyn won in March 2013 Cooperation between GPG (fuel supply and LNG station), Solbus (LNG buses) and KDD Dariusz Gackowski (operator of bus routes) 11 x 12m solo LNG buses up to later 50 LNG buses by 2016/2017 Operations 7 days per week / 65.000 km per bus p.a. Since Oct 2013: refueling by GPG’s mobile LNG station Implementation of fixed station started 03/2014 From Nov 2014: refueling by fixed station

GOVERNMENTS AND POLICY MAKERS NEEDED TO PROVIDE FRAMEWORK FOR SUCCESS



Continue energy tax relief on natural gas as motor fuel and due to its superior environmental benefits and compatibility with bio-methane differentiate it from LPG (liquefied petroleum gas)



Expand targets for NGVs in the transportation sector and introduce supporting measures, such as uniform reference basis for fuel prices at filling stations, establishing consumer-friendly energy pricing transparency
